"I was hooked to this story and at times was upset that real life was getting in my way of reading this book since I had a hard time putting it down." -- Lisa, Goodreads Reviewer ★★★★★
"You NEED Jake Brent in your life. Don't believe me? Well, steer clear of this book if you can't stand single dads with ripped abs who are former Navy SEALs and have dreamy eyes and mad skills underwater. Personally, I don't have enough words in my head to express how much I love him. The fact that he dotes on his daughter and gets Romeo and Juliet references just endears him to me more. Throw in an awkward heroine who stumbles in his path and snatches his heart? Absolute romcom gold. " -- Kristina, Goodreads Reviewer ★★★★★
"This book hit all the marks. As a mom there was nothing better than reading about a devoted, loyal, handsome father that puts his daughter first." -- Amy Reierson, Goodreads Reviewer ★★★★★

"This book ticked all my boxes, it touched me on so many levels, I laughed or should I say snorted, I swooned, I sighed and I was left smiling like a Cheshire Cat and for me that means I have just finished a very special read, a book that will stay with me long after I read the final words. Single Dad Seeks Juliet is funny without being in-your-face about it. It’s heartfelt. It’s unexpected.
I’m often leery of storylines where the heroine watches the hero romance another woman. They can be painful to read, just as I imagine that situation would be painful to experience in real life. But I trusted Max Monroe not to do me wrong, and I was not disappointed.
I loved seeing Holley and Jake’s relationship develop. From their very first meeting to their happily ever after, the chemistry between these two was strong.
The side characters in this story are incredibly charming. I imagine everyone wants a daughter like Chloe and a father like Phil.
All around, this one was a win for me.
This book was all kinds of fun, hawt, awkward goodness that had me grinning like a fool with each turn of the page and falling further into adoration with all the characters and wanting more when it was all over.
I adored Jake and Holley. Jake is all kinds of book boyfriend goodness. Sweet, funny, charismatic and compassionate. I loved his sense of humor and how protective he was of those he called his own. Holley is a fiery little ball of determined awkward goodness. She’s sweet, snarky and leads with her heart.
Their journey to their HEA was all kinds of slow burn fun. They definitely had an interesting meet cute, but it was obvious from that first moment that they clicked. I loved their bantering ~ whether it be face to face or via text ~ and just how well they flowed together no matter what was going on and I loved how everything worked out for them in the end.
This was that read that just makes you feel good and believe in HEA’s. The angsty-ness was on the low end of the spectrum, but there was just enough to keep things interesting. As for the characters, I fell in love with all of them. Chloe was so much fun, as was Phil, but Garrett ~ yeah, I NEED more of him (which will also mean that I’ll have more of Jake, Holley, Chloe and Phil) because he was all kinds off goodness and deserves his own HEA!
Jake is the single dad, entered into the contest, by his teenage daughter. He is an ex Navy SEAL, owner of a construction company and hot AF. Good lord was he swoony!!! He also has a sense of humor that is especially brought out by newspaper reporter Holley. She's been tasked with doing the Bachelor Anonymous contest. Having just gone through heartbreak, it's the last thing she wants to do. I loved Holley so much! She is quirky, a bit awkward, clumsy and beyond hilarious. I laughed out loud so much while reading the banter between these two characters and the side characters....especially her father.
In true Max Monroe fashion, they brought all the feels to SDSJ. I did find myself tearing up a bit as both Jake and Holley talked about the hard parts they've been through in their lives.
Jake from the ocean and Holley from the tribune (this will make complete sense when you read the hilarity of their meet cute!) will hold a place in favorite books for a long time to come!
Would I buy this book again for $4.99? No. Not worth the build up from M/M. Do yourself a favor, re-read the stories about Kline and Thatch again
“I set my fork down and settle my hand into my chest, no doubt in an attempt to stop the newly awakened flutter under my ribs. Goodness gracious, single dads—good ones—really do have a hotness about them that’s unmatched. I think it’s because they show their ability to love. With every conversation, every kiss, every consideration they give their kids, women see the opportunity to be given the same. It’s concrete, black-and-white evidence of a man’s ability to think outside of himself. Which isn’t exactly on the top of the list of the male’s biological strengths.”
I voluntarily read an early copy.
This book was their best since TAPPING. I loved Holley. Quirky, smart, funny and full of joy. And I swooned over Jake. An absolutely perfect single dad. Honest, brave and amazingly normal. Their story was terrific. An unlikely meet-cute, immediate chemistry, but not insta-love and an enjoyable, but not too long or too angsty, unfolding of their relationship. Just a really pleasant few hours spent with these characters.
Thanks Max and Monroe. I have a devilish idea for Garrett. How about falling in love with your best friend's daughter?
Anyway, read this book. And smile. Lots.

This is a romcom at his best!
Jake is a ex navy seal and single dad to 17 year old Chloe, she worries about him and doesn't want him to be alone when she goes off to college so with the help of her friend she decides to sign Jake up for a Bachelors auction, I mean he probably won't be picked so he never will find out........wrong!
Holley is the report at the newspapers that is organising the auction. Why would the pick her to organise this she wonder?a After being cheated on by her ex Holley is nursing a broken heart, her love life is non existent.
Holley and Jake spend a lot of time together, as part of her job she needs to help plan the 5 dates that he goes on.
Their banter had me laughing so much and anytime these two were together the sparks were flying!
Loved Chloe, who wanted nothing but the best for her Dad, oh and Holley's Dad! Omg! He was hysterical! I don't think I have ever laughed so much! Oh and Garrett! How could I forget him! I seriously hope we are going to get his story next.
Single dad seeks Juliet and the shenanigans are hysterical, heart warming and I’d by lying if I said that I didn’t have a little tear in my eye once or twice. OMG, this book. Read it and then read it again. Swoon worthy, heart warming and a bit saucy, it’s got it all 💖
