Da Bird is a high quality, durable, interactive toy that cats just LOVE. If you have not witnessed first hand a cats reaction to Da Bird, then you have no idea what you are in for! A single bob of Da Bird is completely irresistible to cats. Set on a swivel, its feathers look, sound, and feel like real bird wings. Its the most fun you'll have with your feline friends!
The Da Bird can be used with many attachment variaties, incliuding the Sparkly, Super Refill, Kitty Puff, Cat Catcher mouse, attachments made by Frenzy Cat Toys and Hyendry. With so many different attachments available your cats will be forever playing with you.
With the Original Value pack you'll receive the ORIGINAL FULL LENGTH pole (36 inches) Da Bird (Guinea Feather refill attached) and 2 extra Guinea Feather refill attachments. The single pole is better if size is not an issue, since the 2 part pole can sometimes come apart while you are using it.
This is an interactive toy, meaning you are required to work the pole to play with your cat. NEVER leave the pole out or unsupervised since your cat can become tangled in the line if alone with it.
Accent feather colors will vary.
Safety - As with all fishing rod toys, please ensure supervised play at all times and put away when not in use.

Hear me out.
I have two cats. They're siblings, and they just turned two in March 2016. The girl is pretty chill, but Salem, the boy, has an insane amount of energy. I'd never been able to find a toy that kept him interested day after day for extended periods of time. Consequently, he was bored much of the time and exhibited jerky cat behavior. I saw this as a call for help.
We'd had plenty of other cat wands with various attachments, but I'd only tried a few toys with feathers. Salem had loved them, but they hadn't fared well. In fact, the feathers on one of the toys had fallen out within seconds of our very first play session. Da Bird had great ratings, so I decided to give it a try.
Both cats love it, but Salem dominates play sessions. (We actually have two wands now so that my husband and I each can entertain a cat simultaneously.) I have never seen Salem play like this. He will chase it up and down his cat tree over and over again without even realizing that I'm not really playing with him--I'm giving his little kitty booty a major workout! At the end of our play session, he actually rests! This is a cat who never rests! I'm so happy to have found something that helps put his abundant energy to use.
I try to play with him before meal time, and if we don't have time for our play session in the mornings, Salem actually cries. It is the saddest thing. He looks at me, and then he looks up at the refrigerator (where I keep Da Bird). He gives me the unhappiest little meow and trots toward the cat tree as if to ask, "Why aren't we playing already?!"
-FYI: Two wands are available. This wand is in one piece, but our other wand was purchased in a pet store and came in two pieces that you push together.
-YOU WILL NEED REFILLS. Salem is pretty hard on Da Bird. We play with it every day, and one bird lasts about one week (sometimes longer, sometimes shorter). When a feather falls out, don't immediately throw Da Bird away. As long as the feathers are still in good condition and as long as you are supervising your cat at all times, you should be able to firmly press the feather back in to extend the life of Da Bird. If it falls out again, you may even be able to repeat the process. Obviously, there will be a time when you will just need to open up a new refill. :)
We've found that we can use other items on the end to spice things up for them. We had a small strip of cheap carpet (thin stuff I used to put on a homemade cat tree) that they loved to play with. So I cut another small strip and hooked it to the wand. Our male cat went nuts and chased this thing for an hour. I ran him all over house, up and down stairs and over pretty much every piece of furniture until he was too tired to move. I found that the cheap, thin plastic marking tape (the bright pink color) worked wonders for the girl cat. She's not a hunter like the boy, but she loves to stalk the "catch and release" things. So the bright pink strip caught her attention and she loves stalking and chasing it (but just grabbing it, she never tries to eat it). It kinda looks similar to a laser pointer when waving it around (which she loves) to maybe that's the reason. All I know is that they both love it and are constantly "asking" me to play with them.
This is our go-to toy when we want to exercise the cats and it never fails to deliver. And while the "birds" are great (and we've ordered multiple replacements) it's great to have the option to attach alternate lures for the cats to enjoy.
