Look. I'm no expert. After buying this, installing this, and writing this review, I kinda feel like I should shoot some glamourous car advertisement style review of this monitor stand and pay to promote it on Facebook and Google. I like it. That. Darn. Much. The directions are clear and concise. The parts are of a sturdy quality. The arm has plenty of warnings so you don't punch yourself in the face with it. I have two different sized monitors on my desk. I bought this for my left-most display, a 23" dell something or other. It was literally hanging off of the side of my desk. Now, it's suspended. And glorious. I now have ample desk space that I haven't seen for about two years. It will swivel 90 degrees in either direction, though I won't do that since the display is a cheap VA panel that looks bad from such an angle... but the concept is there. I might buy another one for my other display! A+. Five Stars. Two thumbs up. 100%. Good Job. Great success!

Was looking for 1 monitor stand for home and found this little gem. It is build nicely and very sturdy. Install takes only a few mins. Make sure the back of the table is open so u can grab from the bottom. If wood i would put a small cloth around the area so not to scratch table. Once mounted hold the monitor perfectly and the motion of the arm is fine. In general is a really good mount and worth a try.

Frankly, I didn't think I'd like it. I've never had good success with these types of mounts. But this one actually works! It arrived in great shape, and the instructions were super easy to read. I opted for the tension mount rather than drill a hole through my desk. After tightening the tension knob, this arm mount is solid as a rock. The only real problem I had was with the screws used to attach the monitor. The screws were too long and I couldn't get a tight fit. After screwing it in, I could easily lift the monitor off the arm. Not good. A quick trip to Ace Hardware solved that problem. I got four shorter screws for under a buck, attached the monitor, and the arm works like a champ with no adjustments whatsoever. I'm really happy with this purchase.

I am very impressed with the quality of the mount. Excellent materials, fit and finish. The gas cylinder makes adjustments very easy and the tension in the chamber can be adjusted. I have a 27 Inch monitor and no adjustment was required. A recommendation and a very important caution you should be aware of.

The recommendation if you can.: Drill a hole in your desk and use the thru desk mount. It is way more secure and you will eliminate any possibility of tipping the monitor if you accidentally put to much load or force on the monitor. The clamp appears to be sturdy but I am way more comfortable with the thru desk mount.

The caution: When you open the box you will see a piece of VELCRO strap with a yellow caution tag. READ THE TAG. Before I attempted to mount the unit I used tie-wraps to hold the arm compressed before I started mounting it. You could you also use no residue Duck Tape. There is a lot of pressure and I was dubious about the VECRO.

I would buy again. Great value

Works Great; Clever One-Man VESA Mount

Here is the best thing about the mount: The VESA plate is fixed to the arm and cannot be removed. There is no detachable "quick mount." But, you don't have to juggle with the monitor while holding the monitor with one arm while trying to get a screw through the VESA mount into the monitor.

Instead, the mount is machined with two shallow slots in the top of the VESA mount. When you are ready to mount the monitor, you place two screws in the top two mounting holes on the back of the monitor, and screw them in halfway. Then, you lift the monitor and place these two screws into the little slots on the VESA plate. The monitor is held there by the two partially-installed screws while you install the other two screws. Then tighten all four screws down.

Easy as pie. Other than that, all the hardware is top quality. I did not use the clamp-on mechanism, I used the grommet screw. The grommet screw is at least six inches long, ensuring you can mount the thing to just about any desktop (unless your desktop is made out of New York phone books).

Mine did not need any adjustment, I just dropped a 10-pound monitor on there, and away I went. Comes with two shiny Allen keys in case you need to adjust it. Packaged beautifully in a box you can use for a briefcase.

DO NOT BUY THIS STAND IF YOUR MONITOR IS NEAR OR AT MAX WEIGHT RATING.
I set it up and it was easy enough to setup and sturdy enough but then the monitor quickly fell forward to face down as in the pictures. If you increase tension it just waits a second and then does the same thing even at max tension. This weight class is clearly a lie and this may have damaged my monitor as it falls forward quickly and can hit things its close to.
My monitor is the Samsung G75 which is within the weight range without its stand I even weighed it myself.

The vertical, up and down, is something you adjust once and then don't use again. If you are looking for an arm that you can often move around, then you likely want a more expensive arm. If you just want a fixed arm that you might adjust occasionally, then I can vouch that this arm works fine.

I paid a good price for mine (£25.99), and at that price I can recommend it.
