Look, the deal here is you're going to get every single song that the man released as a single during his solo career. And the majority of them I like with I Missed Again and Take Me Home being two of my favorites. I also like some of the sappy love songs like Against All Odds. There are a couple, and only a couple I could do without, such as Dance Into the Light and You'll Be in My Heart. But overall, there are some songs that I like from the Going Back CD that I wouldn't have grown to like if I didn't buy this CD because toward the end Collins started to veer off a little form what we knew from him -- which isn't a bad thing for a musician but it does leave fans hard to accept if they don't like the direction. In this case, you're going to find Collins did stay true to himself and overall it's an excellent view of the solo career and I'm glad it was put together because I enjoy listening to the music. It shows his progression. Now, at the end here, let me state I may a bit biased because I was a Genesis fan to begin with and that includes the lesser known Genesis material, and so from Phil I also enjoy those lesser known singles such as Through These Walls which weren't radio friendly. So, what I'm saying is here you are getting songs that weren't HITS they were Singles. That may make a difference.

The Phil Collins music is noticeably has higher depth and clarity in the underlying instruments. 5 stars for the content, but 4 stars for this set of discs since playback on the last track on Disc 2 "It's In Your Eyes" completely fell apart half way through the song. Since this was after 30 days from purchase, I tried to see if Rhino or Warner / Atlantic would send me a replacement Disc 2. Rhino's response? "You'll need to contact your point of purchase for refunds or exchanges." True, but you're the manufacturer and you won't support a 2016 product. Disappointed, but not surprised. Shame on me for assuming that Rhino Entertainment supports products with their name and brand on it.

This is the best Phil Collins singles collection ever! Genesis - Turn It On Again: Tour Edition Is another great collection. The best thing is a Genesis DVD of the singles called The Video Show is available. The downside to this is, I can not find a Phil Collins DVD collection of all his singles. Only a VHS version with some but not all his videos was released. When at home I would like the watch the videos and when in the car listen to the CD's. At the moment I can only do this with Genesis of which Phil was in.

Phil Collins has had 3 UK no. 1's and 34 UK top 75's singles. He also had 6 no. 1 UK albums and 20 in the 75.

It was beyond my expectations and brilliantly remastered without removing the original sound and appearance. Had this compiliation for a few days but have heard many song previously on earlier releases. Best attribute for this compilation was songs are in chronological order thus allowing you to focus on the maturity of songs as Phil Collins developed a broader and interesting perspective on life and his experiences. Highly recommended.
