Be warned!!! This story is not what I would call a Christian novel. It talks about church, Christ and the Holy Spirt. All the while containing EXPLICIT SEXUAL CONTENT about the character comitting adultry, being rapped, and then fornicating with the pastor. I read part way into the book then skipped toward the end to see if it got better. It didn't!!! I deleted the book. Really wish I hadn't read what I did. Hope I can help someone else from making the same mistake. Whatsoever things are pure, holy, and good; these things set your mind on.

I have heard that things in the black church are different than I thought, but is this what is really going on??? People falling in and out of bed and not thinking a thing of it? If so, this was an eye-opening book to me with way more sex scenes than I anticipated in a Christian book. If it is not the norm, I hope someone will direct me to a more realistic book. Yikes!

I got this book as a freebie. I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed it.I usually don't read these kinds of books but I felt I could relate with Denise and with what she went through so it made this story believable to me.I look forward to more books by this author.

Have you ever had a friend that you could talk to about everything? Do you have a friend that has more than her share of personal drama in her love life? Rose Jackson-Beavers was the fly on the wall when my BFF talked for hours about our failed relationships with God, men, women, friends, lovers, enemies and the ever-present "frenemies".

This is a well-written novel about a woman's discovery of herself. I could identify with Denise, Diana, James, Jill, Tammy and Darren. It is an easily read and inspiring complex tale of what happens when we know better but choose not to do better.

I loved it!!! I bought this book in August and it has taken me this long to complete the reading. What took me so long? SMH! Thank you, Rose. You hit it out of the park.

This was an amazing story that any woman could find herself in. Without telling too much there is enough church drama, relationship drama, and love to keep you reading. Most of all it keeps God's love for us in prospective. That in spite of ourselves and the situations that find us or we find that we put ourselves in He loves us and when we finally surrender to Him He blesses us with what we need.

This was a great book what I liked about it the most was even though it was a Christian story it had real life situations that even the holiest person may go though. And plus the realistic feeling that we all have about gossipers and phony people with in the church. As a newly baptized woman I could relate to a lot of what she was going thru and feeling, I would definitely recommend this book to all my Christian friends. Plus I loved the input of the bible verses as references.

I am not a prude, but the graphic sexual content does not qualify it to be called a Christian story. The author used this book to justify sexual misconduct in church members. It is an example of what is wrong in the church today. It was full of excuses for behaviour that was wrong. If you want a clean romance, this is not the book for you. The situations presented in this book could have been handled in a way that was not so graphic. Shame on you, Ms Beavers.
