About the Author
David Leo Schultz is a filmmaker best known for his movies “Ragamuffin” and “Brennan.” He is also a follower of Jesus, husband, father, actor, comedian, screenwriter, vagabond evangelist, and now author. David is busy. Originally from Indiana he moved to California sometime after graduating from Anderson University with a B.A. in Christian Ministries with a concentration in Bible and World Religions. After arriving in Los Angeles David studied with some of the top improvisation and sketch comedy schools in the country like Groundlings, Improv Olympic, and Upright Citizens Brigade. David has be featured in movies alongside actors such as Jake Johnson, Aubrey Plaza, Chevy Chase, Burt Reynolds, Fred Willard, Chris Kattan, and Michael Madsen. In 1993 David founded a simple sketch comedy team called, “The Color Green” with the hope and prayer to spread the love of Christ through comedy and preaching. In 2005 this simple dream evolved into a film production company called, “Color Green Films” which has made, to date, five full-length feature films. The heart and passion behind all that David does is to point anyone and everyone to the greatest reality that has ever been or ever will be and that is: Jesus Christ is crazy about you. Jesus is head over heels in love with you. Yes, you. The one reading this. So much so, that “while you were still a sinner, Christ died for you.”

Reading this book reminded me of something a friend of mine said. He was working for the Catholic Church and was big on equality and social justice(and I'm sure he heard this from someone else), "when you come to God to be healed, bring him all the pieces of yourself. Not just the pretty, perfect pieces...but all of the imperfect, broken and messed up pieces. God loves and needs all of us".
David's book reminds me that we are not perfect, but God loves us because of this not despite it!
Listen, friend: if you're just tired, hurt, or even done with Christianity, you would love my pal's new book. David Schultz tells a raw story of his journey through and currently in the drudge of crappy things where he still catches glimpses of Gods love and grace. This book is full of stories of dingy chambers of brokenness being stormed by the greatest Love. I already know I can promise you this book will walk you straight through the garbage of life into the realist love of God that you might have disbelieved.
I am in love with this book, and I am in love with David Leo Schultz. You will also fall in love with the God you have forgotten a long time ago.
Don't miss out on allowing your own heart to burst.
