I love her books. She always weaves a wonderful mystery. I have to say her others are my favorites. Without giving anything away, the PI didn't do the obvious thing in this book. He should have looked at the content of the letters and the nature of the other threat (on her door). Why did the perpetrator do those things? That would be a great place to start, but he never considered it. Later, he says, "Oh, I get it." But no one asked the question in the first place. Other than that, the book was a great story with wonderfully developed characters and settings. I enjoyed it. I recommend it. And I highly recommend her other books.

A very awesome book cover, great font & writing style. A very well written mystery book. It was very easy for me to read/follow from start/finish & never a dull moment. There were no grammar/typo errors, nor any repetitive or out of line sequence sentences. Lots of exciting scenarios, with several twists/turns & a great set of unique characters to keep track of. This could also make another great mystery movie, or better yet a mini TV series. A very easy rating of 5 stars.

The story kept me and grossed. My paternal great grandfather, when he was somewhere in his 60s, brought a child bride over from Ireland. They conceived a child and the mother died shortly after giving birth to my grandmother. My research about Ireland shows that there were lots of levels of distress and tough decisions. This book exposed one of them, which I have to believe is true.

The conclusion seems to be an after thought, rather than the culmination of investigation. In fact the whole original crime with the letters was just background noise to the real discovery. And even that was anti-climatic. At the end of this book nothing has changed really. There is a new relationship and the ending of an old one. I am not sure the characters grew or developed. I read it, I finished it, but nothing really stands out.
