I don't really hate it. The problem I have is #1--I was supposed to get three months free service and I got two weeks instead!
#2. I purchased a NEW radio and when my "two weeks" ended and I called Sirius to start service I found that the radio was previously registered to a different person and I had to spend about an hour on the phone to have the radio transferred to me!

I don't intend to return it because it's too much trouble to cancel one subscription and start up another.
Nevertheless--I feel cheated--I did not get three months free service and apparently got a used or refurbished radio for which I paid new price!
Some restitution should be forthcoming!!

This appears to be a great product and as always Amazon provided it quickly and in perfect condition. It was to be a Christmas gift for my nephew. I was planning to provide a 6 month gift subscription along with the radio. Unfortunately the terms of the gift subscription require a credit card to be left on file and is automatically charged for an extension when it expires unless they are contacted directly to end the subscription. This is not viable for an elderly person such as myself. This is a great product purchased through Amazon, a company I hold in the highest regard. Unfortunately the gift card terms from Sirius are set up as an automatically recurring charge that is difficult to discontinue.

Great radio and simple installation

Just bought this radio because I live in a place where you can only get a single station sometimes. After looking around, I decided on this radio since it had a color screen and the "Xtra" Channels. The set up took a little while but most of the time was spent cleaning up the cords. I attached it to the middle vent on the passenger side and it looks great. I placed the antenna on the roof, passenger side, just above the windshield. I ran the cord along the edge of the windshield and then into the car. I used electrical tape to put the cord under the dash and hidden so it won't be an issue. You can't even see the cord until it plugs into the radio. I use the provided Aux cord to play it through my car's stereo and it sounds amazing. Very happy with the purchase. Please know that there is not a free month trial of service.

Just FYI to anybody thinking about buying this product. If you have satellite radio and you think you’re going to add this to your second vehicle and listen to music that you are already paying for you are seriously mistaken. They will want a separate charge for this device. Do yourself a favor go get Spotify.

I purchased the Onyx Plus satellite radio and remote to replace an older XM Express receiver that still worked and its remote that did not. The Onyx is an excellent radio receiver that worked perfectly out of the box as did the stylish remote.

It has a beautiful color display, great graphics, 20 preset ststions, handy last station jump button, interesting tune-mix/tube scan, traffic/weather and a really useful pause, rewind and replay function which is great for recording and repeat best music or missed dialogue. Only negative is that the remote lacks a volume button to turn up or down sound from a distance. Hence 4 stars. Outstanding Amazon purchase cost less than Sirius company cost and did not require new radio subscription but merely transfer from old.

$59 + sales tax - free shipping. Awesome value. Now if Amazon would buy Sirius XM and replace its awful customer service with the best service in the retail world, Onyx and XM would be perfect

So, I’m a lifetime subscriber, and frankly, I primarily listen to Howard, I bought this thinking, well, it looks nicer than my older model, who cares it says SiriusXM. Well after I paid $75 to move my subscription over, I found that because this radio works only on the XM satellites, it needed to be switched to another plan in order to work. This plan was the basic SiriusXM, which meant, no Howard, and I guess no NFL. Not only that, even my streaming account lost these channels (even though there is no technical reason). I tried to resolve this using their online chat, only to find out that the only solution they could offer is switch me back. To my old radio, for another $75!?! I called the live listener care, who moved me back to my old radio, waving the transfer fee. Then he was able to get me a $75 credit to my account. SiriusXM needs to get their act together in supporting legacy customers who believed in them when they just started,

Excellent! We’ve had XM/ Sirius satellite radio for many years. This receiver is excellent and exactly as described. The one BEWARE to keep in mind is the advertising of one free month and free activation is misleading. If you are a new subscriber you may actually receive this. However if you are a current customer you will not receive the free month. When you call to switch your current subscription to the new receiver they will TRY to charge you a $15 activation fee. Refuse to pay it and they will waive the fee! Same when it’s time to renew your service at the inflated prices :)

Excellent radio, I am very happy with this purchase. I travel a lot in the areas without cell & Internet coverage, so it’s nice to have a lot of channels. I installed antenna on my dashboard and this radio still works fine. I only have occasional cuts when I drive in the areas with a lot of hills.

IMPORTANT note: SiriusXM is a brand. However, sold radios have exclusively Sirius or XM network (ie radios with both networks do not exist). In the most instances it’s not a problem – both networks are quite similar, however, if you really like some channels, check listing of each network and only after that you can buy the radio which is going to support that particular network and your favorite channels.

After I bought this and went to hook it up...I found out it was an "XM" radio. So if I wanted Howard Stern...I have to pay for "All Access" which costs about 60 bucks more per year.
Honestly, I'm really starting to hate SiriusXM and their BS.
Why have two kinds of radio (XM radios and Sirius radios) for one company? Then when you buy a radio that says SiriusXM...you still get told it's an XM radio. WTF?!?
With companies like Spotify out there....satellite radio will kill themselves off with these shady business practices and subscription rates that are getting out of hand.

Sirius XM's cadillac radio with the most features out of all it's radios. If it could connect to WiFi and get the internet channels, it would really be complete. It has a beautiful color display, shows album cover art when playing music, will notify you when any of your favorite artists are playing on another channel, does a live sports ticker for any of your favorite teams. I could go on, but the features list is already displayed on this page. You get what you pay for, and while it's the pricier of their radio offerings, it really does a wonderful job. I use it with their official boom box and the sound is amazing. Goes without saying, but requires a monthly, or annual subscription to Sirius XM (reg price of this subscription ranges from $9.99 per month to $21.99 per month for all access after an initial promo discount).

DO NOT BUY THIS IF YOU ORIGINALLY BOUGHT A SIRIUS SUBSCRIPTION. This is an XM radio. So your channels you have through your Sirius won't all be available such as Howard stern or NFL.

Purchased in July - the antenna does not work -. I had to buy another antenna because I still have to pay for XM for 9 more months!!.
2nd antenna did not work found out it was the complete unit that was faulty.
They did not hesitate to send me a new one , which tells me they know there is a problem with ONYX - the replacement sent was old school no screen and 1 1/2" high. Then told me it would cost $15.00 cdn to change from the old unit, which was waived because I was so angry with her telling me it was going to cost me more for something at wasn't my fault.
I do not like this replacement compared to what I purchased! Not happy with the quality this unit!!!!!!!!
