Finally got a great carbon fiber tripod that's as good as any for a very reasonable price. Stiff, strong, great height, flexibility with the center column for low shots. Everything I was looking for. Has held up perfectly for the past 3 years. I really don't understand other reviews complaining of the stability of this tripod nor do I understand the "broken" pictures and reviews. I'm sorry "you" broke your tripod but under normal handling and usage this thing is very well built. Again, I've owned mine for 3 years and it functions like new probably because I don't abuse my equipment or try to break it like some competing manufacturer might do. This thing, for me, is rock solid at any height. No complaints. Highly recommended.

Great product. The only issue is it came with a split O ring on one of the legs. Seller said they would send another but haven't seen or heard anything for over a month. Am I patient or what?

I bought two of such tripod over 2 years and here what I learned:
Good - Well, it is light carbon fiber tripod. You will pay above $1000 for similar RRS tripod.
Bad - Both of my tripod developed exactly the same problem. They lost stopper for one leg which makes them completly dysfunctional. One develop this in couple of weeks after I purchased it and took to my trip to Norway. Second one which I was protecting and keeping in bag most of the time survived entire year.
Worse - Despite promised 6 years warranty Sirui USA refused to repair this. They told me "This is normal tear and wear". So, ... if you are buying the tripod for couple of weeks and expect such tear and wear it is your choice.
