About the author

I am originally from a small market town in the South of England but a few years ago, my husband and I upped sticks and left Blighty for rugged and rural France. We’d had enough of the rat race and decided to jump, with both feet, into a different, but much simpler existence.
In my previous life, I was an English teacher to students who needed a bit of extra help to learn. I loved my job, the students being the highlight of my days.
Nowadays my time is spent writing, sporadically helping my husband renovate our old stone farmhouse, and looking after two enormous dogs. The amount of dribble I wipe up on a daily basis is remarkable, from the dogs, not my husband!
I’ve always adored reading and storytelling. With a book you’re never bored, you can escape into it wherever you may be. I am passionate about telling women’s stories, our voices have been muted for too long, hopefully, I can do them justice.

This book is about seven women of all different ages and backgrounds that come together to reform a coven from the past. Aella is the oldest of them all, she seeks each of the others exactly when they need help the most. Irin, Evie, Caro, Lillian, Juno & Lana all are going through their own personal tragedies and Aella helps them each find their inner strength to persevere as well as finding their place within the coven while helping them recognize their magical gifts.
Typically I am not a fan of so many points of view in one book but it is definitely needed in this book to tell this story. I really enjoyed when Aella shares the history of the coven and how each of the other six are related to the sisterhood.
This book brings out all of the emotions - I won’t lie, I was so upset a good part of this book for how these women were treated! There are several CW’s in this book - domestic violence, rape, animal abuse, murder, narcissism & misogyny. While I feel like this is a lot of bad for one book, it is part of each of the sister’s stories and it shows how together they could overcome the evil in the world.
There were a few parts within the story that seemed to drag for me but overall this book was well written and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Each tale an insight into a very real life scenario, impactful and terrifyingly saddening as individually we are often powerless.
Thought provoking and inspiring, a story that captures you and makes you want to carry on reading (no matter the time!).
I feel like I got to know the characters and would love for them to have their own 'miniseries' too!
Thank You Carol, for an entertaining yet thought provoking read!

As soon as I started reading Sisterhood, I didn’t put it down; I couldn’t wait to read about each new character and their story.
There is a strong feeling of empowerment and feminism throughout the book, which brings ancient witchcraft in to the lives of seven modern women.
The characters are relatable and diverse. Despite being united due to terrible situations, they are fearless in all they face together.
Moore has a style style of writing that hooks you in and I’m looking forward to reading whatever she writes next.
I had a lot of ideas for the front cover when reading the book, but ultimately decided on the final design as I felt it gave an impression of the theme without giving too much away about the story.

I always think you can judge a book by how much you end up caring for the characters .
Potent message

Don't get me wrong though; you don't have to be a 'burn your bra' feminist to read this book. It grabs you into her mystical world in the first page and from then on you can't put it down. Loved every minute.
