Wow! My first audio by this narrator and let me just say, I am totally in love with his voice. It’s completely swoon worthy! He gave the characters a deeper emotion and connection than I would have experienced had I been reading this book. There was a time or two that the dialogue between two characters were indistinguishable, but it was very brief and didn’t hinder my enjoyment at all.
This was so much more than what I was expecting. It was filled with tons of emotions and even more personal angst for both Danica and Blake, as well as secondary characters. While it centers around both the hero’s and heroine’s journey to change themselves, it is Danica that has the true awakening. Although Blake definitely makes the most lifestyle change thanks in part to the impact Danica has upon him.
At the epicenter of it all is the attraction Danica and Blake share and yet they are unable to act upon it. The slow progression of their attraction to something more was perfect for their story making this a bit of a slow burn.
I loved getting to know this couple. Danica was broken in her own way, just as Blake was. Watching her find herself was absolutely beautiful. Blake was a bit harder to accept, at least in the beginning. But as he began to dig deeper and fight against his tried and true methods of self-soothing, my heart slowly began to open up to him, just as Danica’s did. And when he finally finds himself free from the shackles he has placed upon himself, he was wonderful.
I would have loved to have more together time with Danica and Blake as a couple but I’m hoping to see them again in the next book.
Blake Carter is Acroski shop owner and self-proclaimed womanizer. When he accidentally elbows Danica in the nose while waiting in line for coffee, Danica decides even though he is gorgeous she wants nothing to do with him. Blake however can’t get the beautiful woman off his mind. I loved the dynamic between these two characters. The internal conflict that both Danica & Blake have, kept me listening long after I should have gone to bed. I think the secondary characters in this novel add a lot of color to the story as well. I highly recommend this audiobook.
Danica Snow, therapist, is a strong and independent woman who has led her life as she thought her parents wanted her to while her sister, Kaylie as the free spirit. When player, Blake Carter, comes crashing into her life things start to change and she non longer can keep the attraction she has from her professional persona. Her personal issues with men who are players and trust stem from a father who had an affair and left their mother.
Blake Cater cannot stop thinking of the woman he accidently hit in the coffee shop. He had his ski shop and women to occupy his time, but when a tragic accident takes the life of his best friend and business partner, he re-evaluates his lifestyle and wants to change his life. His is where he comes face to face with the woman he cannot stop thinking about, his new therapist to get over childhood issues and the death of his friend.
As these to struggle with maintain their growing attraction for one another, Danica continues to breakdown Blake's barrier with his issues and finds a place in his heart but can he breakdown her barriers as well.
While Danica is struggling with the growing feelings for Blake, she is also dealing with being a Little Sister to Michelle which has her own issues with her life. Kaylie is also adding to the stress of her sister's issues with Blake since she called "dibs" on him first and also with her self-esteem in herself is not making it better.
As she starts to take some of her own advice she gives to her patients, we start to see the more fun loving person appear and is able to help others more since the walls are coming down for other to see.
This is a great read and would highly recommend and looking forward to reading about Kailey story.

I have finally gone back to the beginning of where this series all started! The Snow Sisters. I started the Love in Bloom Series by Melissa in the Seaside Summers spin off and I have continued to follow her new releases but never had a moment to go back to the start. Sisters in Love is book one in the Snow Sisters series and book one in the huge Love in Bloom universe from Melissa.
Sisters in Love is a quick, fun read full of romance, love, and close family. Danica Snow is a therapist and our guy Blake Carter is a player with no desire to settle down but after the sudden death of his best friend and business partner, he realises he needs to change his womanising way but has no idea where to start. After a brief meeting with Danica in a coffee shop, he had no idea that she was about to become his therapist! Danica doesn't want to risk her career, but it is clear that the attraction between this is red hot - but can a player really change his ways? Can Danica trust a guy like Blake? You will just need to read on to find out
BJ Harrison did a great job, (though I am not entirely convinced with his female voices). He did switch seamlessly between characters and did manage to convey the emotions of the characters, but once I got into the book and listened to him more he grew on me
in my reviews I will never post spoilers.
I found Melissa over 3 years ago after an excerpt of sisters in love in a back of a book after that one chapter I downloaded all of the sister in love series.
sisters in love deals with heartfelt emotions by facing your past present and future.
Danica snow is a therapist she has he own struggles of weather to continue with being a therapist or open her own youth centre she is a committed person who helps anyone in need
Blake Carter is a playboy and women are his conquests, lives to the max due to his ski resort company he thinks he has it all until his partner is killed in a ski accident and when looking in the mirror he see's the playboy that he is he doesn't like it not one bit.
after an odd meeting and cat claws at the ready Danica is surprised who turns up at her office can she keep this sexy man at arms length or will she and Blake find a resolve in each other and start a new chapter in each others lives.
I really loved reading this first book that I downloaded it was right up my street love passion and dealing with traumatic events that bring these two people together if you love romance and sexy men then this is for you.
My initial reaction to this story was, oh here we go! It's going to be about this guy and his conquests and tricks. Clichéd. But as the story progressed and the characters developed it was apparent that the author was not going down the route I initially thought I was on. I liked the characters and particularly the way the dialogue/relationship between Danica, the therapist and Blake her patient/client developed. The focus on Danica and those she helped was interesting, also the relationship between Blake and his friend's family. Yes, there were some parts I found annoying and wondered if they really were necessary in any great detail but there are few books that please the reader totally. I must admit once it really got going it was one of those reads that are difficult to put down.
The main female didn’t seem believable whatever happened in their ‘relationship’ and the main male somehow changed his whole personality almost over night. Secondary characters were unfinished without much personality apart from the female’s sister being annoying.
I love Danica and Blake and there happily ever after was so sweet. It's been a while since I visited their story as I have obviously read it and it was lovely to go back to where it all began.
The road to love is not easy and it takes a while for them to get there but when they do boy is it HOT.
I did not want this story to end and cannot wait to listen to Kaylie's story and more especially Gabe's story, which I have already read but cannot wait to listen to it as well.
