About the Author
As a young atheist, Alicia Britt Chole believed that man had invented God to fill the gaps in human knowledge. "Truth to me was dead, God had never lived, life was full of pain, and death was the end of life." In 1983 God captured Alicia's attention and soul. She now speaks to leaders, professionals, women's groups, ministers, and college students concerning spiritual life, temptation, conflict, disillusionment, deception, mission, and mentoring. She has authored the books Pure Joy and Until The Whole World Knows, and written several audio/video series, email devotions and more. She and her husband Barry have a son and a daughter.--This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.

As Chole illustrates, submitting to God's will and resting in His presence leads to a refreshed soul and replenished emotions. Chole uses applicable, easy-to-understand illustrations to explain her main points. Years of serving the Lord through writing, public speaking, and study of the Word, have given her precious insight in a variety of ways in which God cares for His children.
Chole writes, "One remedy alone exists that can refresh a weary spirit. Rich cream can relieve dry hands and a hot bath can comfort aching bones, but only the God who created us can breathe new life into the depths of our being. There are no substitutes for His Presence." Chole draws direct quotations from the Bible as evidence, explaining how they relate to her theme for each chapter.
Though only 222 pages long, this little book is a delightful read! Sitting in God's Sunshine is written in clear, practical language with short, straightforward chapters. Alicia Britt Chole's inspirational book is a great read for anyone who is weary in spirit and searching for soulful refreshment. -- Bridgette Oakes, Christian Book Previews.com
