I came across these bands after viewing Brenda and Chad Walding's freebie on YouTube "7 Simple Steps to Fixing Back Pain" (from the Sitting Solution program)--which is one of the best routines I've found (I've subsequently purchased their book and program--highly recommended). The husband and wife team are both doctors of physical therapy--they know what they are doing and teaching. They have these bands made, and the price here on Amazon is a good one.
as for these resistant bands, they are legit exercise "tools" with alot of versatility and convenience. they are so simple and effective it makes you wonder "why" or "how" you lived without them. i have used resistant equipment in the past, like the cord/rope type and i never really liked them and felt awkward using them for whatever reason. however, these resistant bands are a different story, you have better range of motion and control when using these bands as compared to resistant ropes. some people complained how they need more resistance or that it's not enough or too much. well, you're not trying to gain huge muscle mass or strength-train with these people. .these bands may build muscle but these are more focused on strengthening and/or correcting weak areas of your body and toning the entire body to help avoid the negative effects of chronic sitting, posture and prevent various related-injuries. personally, these bands are great to for a pre-workout warm up for those who do lift with free weights or do strength training. honestly, unless you're very "frail" or weak or just someone of arnold schwarzenegger proportions, these two bands are enough for mostly anybody. the yellow band is the lighter resistant band and the red one is the thicker/tougher of the two. if you find that you need more resistant, just bring your hands closer together (choke up) on the band and the opposite if you need less resistant. these two bands are really all you need!
lastly, like i stated previously the convenience with these bands are unmatched. they don't take up any room and are easy to take with you to work or travelling. these are a great product from people who know what they are doing and are pioneers in the correcting chronic sitting and posture movement. make sure you read their book as well as it's something everyone needs to be aware of and that is the damaging effects of excessive sitting and bad posture habits.
