I feel so guilty for being so judgemental. This is a great workout video. For all the people putting down the Situation, calling it "cheesy", and not a good workout...I have to wonder if they were watching the video I watched.
To me, the video was absolutely hilarious! Yes, okay, it was cheesy, in a funny way. This man honestly has a sense of humor and was making the workout fun. It was like watching a good SNL skit with a workout as a bonus. I loved how he joked around with his friend, "The Unit" and joked around with the women. I loved how he kept saying "Situation" every chance he got. It was obvious he was messing around and just having fun with that.
"Not a good workout". Hmmmmm...I'm wondering if these people actually tried the workout. It was pretty serious stuff. I work out three times a week and after this workout, I felt it for a few days. It kicked my butt! I feel like EVERY part of my body was worked out. I have yet to find another video that made me feel this good. I felt many good results. I do admit one fault, I wish he would have explained how important using the right postures are. For people who never worked out before, they could get hurt. Outside of that, workout wise, it was really amazing. Maybe he's not a fitness guru, but to me, it was obvious that he wanted to make sure people had fun and he was serious about helping people.
So, to sum it up, if you don't have a sense of humor, get offened too easily, and don't want to really workout, don't watch it.Read more ›
I recommend this for someone just interested in working out the abs....add jump rope...and about 20 mins jog 3 times a week..and the SITUATION...WILL GIVE YOU...YOUR SITUATION!....
He can't even count ("we have 10 or 15 seconds left") and admits he's not a fitness expert. He doesn't have proper form most of the time and his other 2 helpers had different form than he had in some of the segments.
The ab exercises, some I'd never heard of before & that was a good thing.
I work out every day, but I must state that the legs and abs 15 minute segments were very challenging to me.
Overall, I like the option of doing one 15 minute segment in the morning before work and one 15 minute segment in the evening after work.
Naturally, the intensity of this workout will vary as well depending upon what weight of dumbbell is being used. I use the 15 # dumbbells and hope to start using 20# bells next.
I can tell that I am getting stronger by using this DVD.
Despite the fact that "The Situation" is annoying, i.e. using his own nickname every chance he gets, and the repeated use of the word "ok", the video gets a thumbs up.
