Six Brothers was another edge of your seat, exciting read and I'm glad I was able to continue on with the story. I managed to pick this one up on sale on Amazon, so as long as you are patient, I'm certain the price will come down and It will be a little more affordable than the original $2.99 per installment it starts out as. That was my only gripe at the beginning, but of course at the sale price, there is nothing to grouse about at all.
I do have one minor concern though, and take it for what you will...I have no real life experience with MCs, but I would certainly think that if there was a new person hanging around and all of a sudden someone wound up mysteriously dead, that suspicion would immediately fall on the new element, whereas Sammi (Julz) continued to just be Dornan's whore. Yes, Dornan did seem to show his true colors a little more in this installment, showing his violent tendencies toward Sammi, however he also showed her a more tender, vulnerable side that she had not seen before. I personally just have some issues with that relationship...it will be interesting to see what comes about at six brothers dwindles down to five at the conclusion of this volume.
I love the relationship between Julz and Jase. I just want her to tell him already because I just love the character of Jase and feel so badly that he is stuck in the life he was born into. I really am rooting for the HEA for both Julz & Jase, they certainly deserve it!
So yes, I will be finishing this serial.
Dornan has truly hurt my feelings. As if that were even possible after book 1, but he did. I feel so... Misused. & betrayed. But what did I expect? It's my own fault. It's like asking the snake "Why did you bite me?" Yet I still care.
Sammi? OMG! this chick is out of her mind. Insane! I truly feel for her. I'm cheering for her, but I hate what she's enduring just to reach her goal. Talk about determination. I have mad respect for this chick.
Jase, I love him, but I'm trying not to. I really feel sorry for him.
This story/serial is just beyond twisted. Beyond dark. I can't stress this enough.
***PROCEED WITH EXTREME CAUTION*** if you choose to play in this jacked up playground.
This is a serial, so you will have to read each book in order.
The more I get to know Dornan and his sons, the more worried I become. They are some sick puppies and she's playing with fire. I guess she felt like she had nothing to lose when she made her plans for revenge. But from this side of my kindle, I have to disagree. If she doesn't want Jase or Elliott, I'll take them...sigh. ❤️
I enjoyed this more than Seven Sons. As I mentioned in my review of SS- I was not feeling Sammi's relationship with Dornan. AT. ALL. And in this book that feeling sky rocketed. My heart was constantly in my throat and I was itching with anticipation and nerves. The story is still freaking crazy and the suspense is real, people!
What I especially loved in this installment is that we get to know Elliot and Jase some more. I keep wigging out that Jase will realize who Sammi really is. What would happen? Who's side would he be on? Would he even believe her? I have so many questions!!!!
The pacing is ON POINT and I'm still rooting for Sammi even though I am growing more and more anxious as this series continues. I am also becoming increasingly thirsty for vegence every time we have a scene with one of the brothers. What pieces of s***! I hate them ALL. Breezing through these books!!!
