I've only read Accidental Demon Slayer and this is what I thought.

I love a snarky heroine when I read paranormal romance. Lizzie is all that and there is even a snarky dog...so double the fun. The hero Dimitri is a smoldering hot Griffin shifter who seduced me and Lizzie. Great mix of magic, myth and biker witches! oh yeah...demons too! This book is perfect if you are looking to put a smile on your face.

I am looking forward to checking out the other stories!

These stories are so worth reading I actually own two of them in paperback! Smokin' hot without being vulgar this collection hits the highs of paranormal fantasy and urban magic.

I meant tp save them for reading in between major projects but, like chocolates, I couldn't eat just one.

So, I'll start by saying that I haven't read all the books, but those that I have read thus far are awesome. I especially love Haunted on Bourbon Street.

I really enjoy sets like this because I'm a voracious reader, and it's a really nice (and inexpensive) easy to try out new series and authors.

I'm a huge fan of Mindy Klasky's work. So much so that i follow a few of her blogs. When she announced this box set promotion ($0.99 when the announcement came through to me!), I valued her opinion stating the other 5 books in the set would be worth the money.

I haven't had a chance to read any of the other books so far, but I will say this: If you find this deal for $0.99 like I did, just buy it! Mindy Klasky's contribution "A Girl's Guide to Witchcraft" is easily worth 5 times that price on its own. It's a fun, easy read about librarian Jane Madison and her newfound discovery of being a witch. It's a set up book for two others in a trilogy, plus a gateway to a new trilogy - The first book of which was just published this August.

I'm really looking forward to checking out the remaining books in this set. I'm hoping that it will open doors for some great new reads from authors that I otherwise might not have found.

HAUNTED ON BOURBON STREET by Deanna Chase: This is the first book in Deanna Chase's "A Jade Calhoun Novel" series. Our heroine, Jade Calhoun, is an empath who recently left Idaho to move to New Orleans to be near her best friend Kat. She teaches a glass bead making class and works part time at "The Grind" coffee shop owned and run by Pyper. She lives in an apartment over a strip club in the French Quarter which is owned by the ever so sexy landlord Kane and business partner of Pyper's. On Jade's first night in her apartment she encounters a ghost who seems sexually drawn to her! Throw in a witch, a ghost hunter, a low-level Angel, a violent ex-boyfriend and a strong lesbian bar tender and you have a host of characters that make this paranormal romance a fun and entertaining adventure! Be forewarned, you won't be able to put this book down! I've read it twice!! It's that good!
THE ACCIDENTAL DEMON SLAYER by Angie Fox: I don't want to spoil anything about the plot as it is a MUST-READ paranormal adventure! Preschool teacher Lizzie meets her biker Grandma on her birthday for the first time and a demon appears in her bathroom! All of a sudden her dog Pirate can talk! She discovers a gorgeous sexy man Dimitri following her who claims to be her protector while her Grandma admits she is a witch and that Lizzie is a powerful Demon Slayer! Throw in a coven of crazy biker witches some nasty imps and demons and you have a fun paranormal adventure you won't be able to put down! I highly recommend it and have added Angie Fox to my authors to read list!!
CARPE DEMON (ADVENTURES OF A DEMON-HUNTING SOCCER MOM) by Julie Kenner: Delightfully fun paranormal adventure with a butt-kicking soccer mom!

I had to get this collection of 6 books, bc it was only 99 cents and it is the 1st book in 6 different series. I was looking for a new series and I thought this was a good way to find one. All 6 books sounded reasonably good.

My ratings for each of these individual books were all over the place so it was hard to give one rating for all these books together. Since I didn't give any books 1 star or 5 stars. I decided to average it out to 3 stars.

Book 1- Haunted on Bourbon Street- 4 Stars- I really enjoyed this one, I just wasn't in love with it. The idea of Ghost is just dumb to me and even though I know this is fiction something about it just kept bugging me. Good writer though. I will not read the rest of the series bc I only read series when I give the 1st book 5 stars. If 4 stars is good for you keep reading the series. (This series is not completely finished.)

Book 2- The Accidental Demon Slayer- 3.5 Stars- I liked the plot, the idea of this book, and it was reasonably good. The big problem was the heroine, she is just not likable. I HATE when the heroine gets mad at the leading man for such a ridiculous reason. She also had her panties in a wad the whole time. Over all an interesting idea and if you like her I suggest reading the rest of the series. (This series is not completely finished.)

Book 3- Carpe Demon- 2 stars- This would be a 1 star except the writing is good so this book gets a 2 star for being boring, having terrible characters, and a bad plot. Also, I HATE religion and anything that has to do with it, and I HATE the idea of mothers, and I strongly dislike children. So def. not the book for me. I read about 15-20% of this book.

Book 4- Girl's Guide to Witchcraft- 3 stars- I liked this book fine.
