So Aidric is a tortoiseshell cat shifter, the size of a Savannah. Huh. Alpha Carter is a big black wolf. The size difference between the two is there in both human and shifted forms and it makes for some interesting dynamics. Bossy bottom. The story has a nice follow up from past characters and plot lines so it's more than an odd mating. Aidric had his own issues to resolve beyond what anyone expected because Carter's pack include Jack and Baylor. . . The ones that attacked Remi's mate, Marshell.
"I rolled onto my back, wrapped my ARMS around his head, and with my back feet, started kicking at his muzzle. Of course I made sure my claws weren't out." The 'arms' in shifted form should've been called forelimbs, forelegs, or legs. Maybe that's nit picky but I picture arms as human. If I had to add anything it would've been acceptance from the Dark Lake Pack of Keegan. There was so much push for an alpha heir and that Aidric couldn't provide one. . Now that there is one, there should be a public acknowledgement. Like before one of the few pack runs. Having an heir? It's huge.
If you love this series, you'll love this addition. Everything is feline or canine and while the mating is on the back burner due to other events, both Aidric and Carter are committed. Well worth the cost and recommended. - Dan's Wife
I am intrigued by this new werecat in town that smells different.
I hope the series continues and maybe when Keegan grows up a werecat is in his future or maybe Delaney will be gifted with a werecat.
When Carter is more like a good alpha male, Aidric is really an interesting char, combining neat freak, power bottom, self doubted personality, and the balance of elegant and killer sense. He made this story alive, definitely a worthy reading!

I absolutely loved this book. There is nothing I like more than werecats and werewolves getting together. Aidric and Carter were both wonderful MCs.Read more
