Editorial Reviews

From the Author

I spent many years collecting the memoirs of this great man.  The read is simple but the imagery is excellent.  You can nearly taste the ways of a bygone era.  Men of adventure, fearless and verging on the heroic!

Hope you enjoy this book and the adventures of this bygone era!

About the Author

Written By Art Ross using memoirs of J. Linton Rigg written by Linton. A United States Coast Guard licensed captain, Capt. Art Ross has credentials, sailing experience, and blue water knowledge combined with a passion for the sea and boats. Those that know or sail with him find that this love of the water and related topics infectious, interesting, and always fun. He has owned and built both wood and fiberglass boats, has delivered charter boats to the Caribbean from the States, teaches sailing, and works as a charter captain for a Chesapeake Bay charter business. It was by chance on one of his sailing trips in Carriacou, after Hurricane Irene, that he came upon the sailboat 'The Mermaid of Carriacou' and so began the story of J. Linton Rigg. Art’s passion for sailing is only surpassed by his wish to have all those he meets join him aboard on a breezy day to share those wonderful experiences together.
