So, the whole name change to Phoenix....soooo ridiculous. I could not stop the eye roll every time I read it. Calling this a "rocker" story was very misleading. It had nothing to do with a rock star. Don't even get me started on the 26 year old man terrified that his daddy would find out he had 'body art' ....gasp! The story had no substance. It just meandered in an attempt to seem interesting but fell far short. There was no clear problem to overcome just a bunch of college students who were afraid to talk to their parents. The story was YA and immature. the author through in a bunch of sex scenes to make it more appealing to the NA crowd but it just didn't measure up. This book was a big disappointment.

I don't usually write a bad review. I understand that authors put alot of time and effort in their books. With that said, I feel like I have to warn other readers. This book was REALLY hard to finish. Heck, it was hard to finish the first couple of chapters much less the whole book. It feels like it just kept getting more ridiculous. The characters were beyond immmature. This story could have been really good. Grown men and women so scared of going against their parents' wishes... Silly nicknames... a grown man with the hormones of a 13 year old. It was all just really hard to swallow. It seemed like this whole story was forced. I felt like I was reading a paper written by a 6th grader (minus the sex scenes). I really regret paying for this book and I would not suggest this book to anyone.

Very good book. Thalia is good friends with Liam and although they have dated, they don't really share any chemistry. He asks her to go home with him over the summer and pretend to be his girlfriend. This would have worked fine, until she met his brother, Jack. The instant their eyes lock, Thalia and Jack are attracted to each other. Problem is, Jack is engaged. Turns out, he's engaged to Mia, but it's been arranged by their dad's. Without giving too much away, Jack (Phoenix) and Thalia can't seem to stay away from each other. Did I mention that in addition to being a law student, Jack is also the lead singer to a band? The two struggle to come to terms with the pending marriage, but soon discover it may not be what Mia or Liam want either. Then you have the two band mates, Reece and Donovan, who are equally hot, as well as the bar owner, Ryder. And don't forget Thalia' s best friend Callie. All of the other characters help make this a great story. They are all great friends and lots of fun to read about. I'm sure each will have a great story too.

The next book in the series is about Callie and Reece called Spicy due in early 2014.

Easy read, HEA, no cliffhanger. Read straight through in an afternoon.

At first, the plot line was interesting. So despite the generally amatuer writing, the annoying British English, glaring editorial issues (just how long has it been since Jack last had sex?), the copious tears that Thalia cried that should have landed her in a hospital for dehydration, and the overall weirdness of both Liam and Mia, I wanted to know why Jack (who is 25 some times, but 10 years out of high school at other times - which would put him closer to 28) is letting Daddy make his life decisions. He's about to be a lawyer (or is he just getting out of college - bad editing - college isn't grad school!) so what's the big deal in getting a loan so you can live the life you want. The last straw was stupid Thalia, having just left Jack's side at the reception, believes that lying Rebecca is telling her the truth when she sends her into danger to meet Jack in the woods The stupid meter went through the roof and I just shut the book down.

Don't buy this book - I got it in an anthology for $.99 so I was ripped off too badly.

3 stars. Sizzle is my introduction to Lexi Buchanan.

The title of the series is misleading, there is nothing Rocker about this book. Yes, Jack is a singer, sort of, but to label this as a Rocker Series is misleading.

This book was very predictable. I had the full storyline pegged by the fifth chapter. I found it to be immature for my taste. Jack and his brother are weak and at times whinny characters...no Alpha's in this book, males with no backbone.

My 3 star rating is for the hot sex scene's and the pierecings. For me, I did not care for this Author's writing style, too many holes, lacking substance. For example, the female character describes a ridged, strict home life, no freedom, even as a college student, she avoids visiting her parents therefore, I expected the she is a virgin. There is no mention of gaining freedom once in college but yet, there is no mention at all of any sexual experience. Jack and Thailia's first encounter indicates the she is very much experienced. The story is based on Thailia's spending a summer at Liam's family home (strict parents?), ***spoiler alert*** And, she becomes engaged, still no mention of parents. Just weird for me. Bottom line, for me Erotica/Romance novels are appealing with strong men, not necessarily Alpha's but my God, please do not write male characters that are just downright weak-push overs.
