The watch is thin so I understand they tried to make the crystal as low profile as possible, but in doing so, it seems not able to resist even minor bumps without failing. Even a dress watch needs to take some small impacts. I also realize for the price one cannot expect sapphire crystal, and mineral crystal should perhaps scratch a bit more than sapphire, but other than the crack across it, my watch had not one surface scratch.
This watch was as good as, and maybe a bit better, than I hoped for. There are very minor negatives.
The date set stem position is touchy due to the size of the crown, and finding the adjustment position sweet-spot takes a bit of dexterity.
Regarding the negative reviews concerning the clasp and adjustment, the mechanism is common to many watches with a mesh band, and when adjusting for proper fit and aligning with the band depressions (on inside of band) it is necessary to be rather precise if you want a secure adjustment. The clasp itself is a typical hook and covering interference fit overclasp, and works well.
The blue on the face is deeper than pictured, and I like the reality of it better than the picture. The effect is stunning.
The watch is flat out beautiful on the wrist, but still can be worn in casual situations, keeping in mind that mesh bands and mineral crystals do not do well under repeated physical contact in high activity conditions.
For the Amazon price I acquired this, it is a superb value.
I get compliments on this all the time and it's so thin and light you forget it's even there.
Pretty tough too...I put it through all kinds of swimming, mountain biking, hiking, working in a lab, and it does very well. My previous one lasted three years and fell apart in a violent crash on a bike...can't blame the watch!
Update: the hands stopped moving and just clicked back and forth. It was a few months within warranty so I sent it in. Unfortunately Fossil (terrible quality watches) took them over. So their “warranty” department consists of charging me the price of the watch to fix it. I was a multi year proponent of them and stuhrling which is part them. No more! If you don’t stand behind your products and honor your warranty then you are not worth the money. Not junk but Fossil is a crappy company and now they own Skagen. Stay away.
I loved the fact this watch is perfect for people with thin wrists like me but is still clearly a men's watch. The hint of red color on the end of seconds hand pops out in the front of the black colored face. The digits, hours, minutes, and seconds hands are chrome and shiny. The Skagen logo on the face is silver as well.
It also has a date window towards the bottom of the face, that shows the date in black text over a white base.
I have worn this watch in light drizzle couple of times and have not had any issues so far.
Case diameter: 37mm
The width of strap: 22 mm
Number of holes: 8
Each hole is little less than 8mm apart
The circumference of the watch at the outermost hole: 8 inch
The circumference of the watch at the innermost hole: 6 inch
Around 6-year mark, the strap of the band started splitting. The strap does not have any stitching on it and it seems that the two layers of the strap are held together with an adhesive. This seems to be a common issue with this watch. However, I ordered the strap for this watch Watch Technicians Genuine Leather Skagen band/strap With Screws Fits Selected Models Listed Below . This it doesn't feel exactly like the original one but it's good enough. The great thing about changing the strap is that the strap is screwed in with tiny screws, so it was quite easy to take the screws out and change the strap instead of trying to push the strap pin as is the case with several other watches
I also had to replace the batteries for this watch. This watch came with Sony's 364 battery (a.k.a. SR621SW battery) Sony 364 (SR621SW) 1.55V Silver Oxide 0%Hg Mercury Free Watch Battery (5 Batteries) . Even though other brands also sell the same battery, I was able to get Sony's battery for a very reasonable price as well. I did have some issues with putting the back cover on. For other watches, I was able to snap in the back cover with my hands, but for this one, I had to purchase a watch press.

I have had a few Skagen watches over the last decade and most have been well up to expectations. This one is a titanium version of another Skagen I have, it's much lighter and has the signature titanium grey colour with the blue dial with the small date window.
It looks very slim on the wrist and looks to have standard pins for the band fastening. I have read some reviews that the band was hard to fasten and the pins weak but I have not found this to be the case on this or my stainless steel version. The band is easy to adjust with a small flat blade screw driver to unlock the latch setting and yes you do need to make sure that the over locking clasp is not in the way when trying to do it up that is an easy mistake to make.
The band may not be ideal for those who have very slim wrists as the band to watch fastening area is not quite as flexible as the rest of the band so this could add stress the mounting area where the band fastens to the watch.
In summary, it looks great, light weight and is comfortable for me, the blue dial looks a treat although the lume is not the best.
I will update this review over time if needed as I've only had it for a short while.
Skagen have a deservedly good reputation for producing attractive classy-looking watches for non-rich plebs such as me, and this one fits that description. I bought a different model as a present for my partner some years ago and she still loves it.
One of my main reasons for choosing this item was to assist my aging and ancient ocular capacity in telling me the time, i.e. it looked easy to read in the website image. In actuality the hands aren't as distinct as depicted in the picture and the promised 'luminescence' is non-existent to my eyes. The second hand is very adept at becoming invisible even in a good light. Nevertheless I shall keep it.
The main part of the case is titanium. The back of the case is stainless steel. The strap was made by the Elves in "Lord Of The Rings".
The other point I would like to raise is that it states in the product description ,that the whole watch is titanium . This is , as stated by other people , not the truth . The watch body is but the strap and base are Stainless Steel . So if you have an allergy to steel , I don't but I know people who do , think before purchasing .
