This time however it was not the case. The fit was right, wide as it should be and for the most part comfortable. I say for the most part because every new pair of shoes needs some breaking in. After a day or so they fit just right. I work 10 hours a day 6 days a week on cold concrete floors as a warehouse manager. These shoes so far are working out great. My feet do not hurt, they aren't freezing (though I wouldn't go hiking in the snow in them) and they look good. The next test will be their durability and longevity test. I'm very hard on my shoes and it's rare to see a pair last more than a few months with the rare case of lasting a year or more with out holes or tearing seems forming. Here's hoping for the best.
Also, I knocked off one star because the shoe laces seem a bit short. I had to tighten the shoes a bit more than I wanted in order to make the laces easier to tie. Small but annoying.
The biggest issue I had with these shoes is that they do not breathe at all. Very stuffy and sweaty in there which is not a good combo with kitchen work.
5'6 - 200lbs and work in a kitchen 10+ hours a day
-Exterior "leather" upper part of shoe appears to be in good shape.
-To start, the right shoe simply did not fit right. I spent a very long time trying to get it to feel OK, and never succeeded. Decided I would just get used to it and kept on trucking.
-About 1 month into wearing them, the innersole padding near the toe started to peel back, so I usually had to start my day putting my hand into the shoe to push that down. Now on January 14th, the right shoes innersole padding has completely detached from the shoe, and the innersole itself is falling off. The left shoe innersole padding is about 1/3 the way to peeling off completely.
-Exterior rubber on side of shoe has begun flaking off.
Overall, pretty shoddy craftsmanship. Would not recommend, especially since how low-impact my job is and they are already falling apart from both inside and outside.
