Loved it! By Boundless Book Reviews on April 22, 2015

Kasey Riley has become a very great writer in my mind. This is the second book of hers that I have read and just like the first, I very much enjoyed it. To fully enjoy this book, I'd recommend for the reader to take the time and read Desperate Endurance which introduces many of the characters portrayed in Skeleton Trail and adds on to the story.
Skeleton Trail itself was a great and elaborate story. It was filled with history, action, romance, and suspense. It was filled with great characters, each with their own touching story. It was all around a great book from the story to characters. That being said, I have to say that I absolutely loved this book and have become a big fan of Kasey Riley. I hope to have the opportunity to read and review more from such a great and promising writer.....Stormi

I was riding on trail #3 from Cedar Lake Equestrian Campground one spring when the creeks had been running high and came to a spot where the bank had finally been washed out from under an old oak tree. The tree was laying across the creek bed and next to the trail was a huge hole where the falling tree had taken up dirt and rocks in its root ball. Looking into that hole, my mind began to race - someone could bury a body and never have it found in a hole that large.
This began the story of Skeleton Trail.
I've worked marking and creating new trails through the woods and across desert with conservation and trails organizations. Someone has to go from point A to point B, leaving ribbons for the workers with shovels and picks to follow. Today when riding trails I appreciate the labor of those who worked so hard to give others a place to enjoy the wild lands of this nation. I hope my readers can use their imaginations to join the fun in creating a new trail and finding something hidden for half a century.
