This is the fourth book in the Bonnie Parker saga and is as action packed as the others. If you don't enjoy thrilling and chilling violence don't buy this book and give it a 1 rating. Go read your romance novels.
This book is a fast read, catch you by the throat type of novel. I read it in two days.
Bonnie is like a magnet, she attracts many things: but i'll sum in up in one word, Mayhem....,
I'm glad Michael is writing again and can't wait for the next Bonnie Parker book.
As to the protagonist, Bonnie, and her sort-of damsel in distress, Kyle, both are relatively young, pretty and sassy. They are balanced well since Bonnie has street smarts but is not intellectual and Kyle is an intellectual snob. Great sparks fly between them. Sometimes the underlying form of the put-downs is too similar between them for my taste, but you always know who is talking because the highbrow/lowbrow dynamic is constantly present and entertaining. btw - Did I mention both are pretty and sassy?
There's another interesting pair-off that I resonated with. Strongly resonated with--way too much. Bonnie is a badass who is trying to leave badassery behind and be a good girl, but she just can't pull it off. She has to kick some ass when the need arises. She is balanced by one of the villains, Shaban Dragusha, a tortured soul who wants to be good, but can't help but be a villain (he likes being evil despite himself). Maybe I resonate with these folks because I... er... I don't want to think about it...
Anyway, I highly recommend this thriller. It's a fun read.
