Product Description

Are you tired of the embarrassment of acne? Of the sun damage from days spent lounging by the pool and beach? Would you like to smooth out the fine lines and age spots that catch up with us all eventually? If you are like most of our clients, you would love to be able to look in the mirror and see clear, even toned, younger looking skin. Now you can use the same type of powerful treatment your dermatologist and favorite spas offer in the privacy of your own home and at a fraction of the cost. A Jessner's chemical peel can give you smoother, more even toned skin not just on your face, but neck, chest and hands. This peel has a proven track record of safety and great results. It does cause visible peeling and will have between 3-5 days of down time for recovery.

This kit contains: 30ml (1 oz) of Jessner's peel solution 14%, pH 1.5, 2 fl oz Post Peel cleanser and 2fl oz Post Peel Cream, gauze pads and a detailed instruction sheet. The Jessner's Peel is a light to medium peel and is very safe when used as directed. It is suitable for most skin types, especially those with oily or acne prone skin. It will significantly improve your skin's tone and texture while building collagen to smooth out fine lines. Those with aspirin sensitivity, oral herpes, pregnant or nursing should not use this product. This standard Jessner's Peel is made up of three peeling agents at 14% each that work perfectly together: Salicylic acid, Lactic acid and Resorcinol. Salicylic acid helps dissolve the dirt, sebum and debris in your pores that cause blackheads, enlarged pores and acne outbreaks and provides gentle exfoliation. Lactic Acid helps encourage cell turnover and stimulates collagen formation while smoothing and softening your skin. Resorcinol is an effective exfoliator that helps loosen the damaged skin layers to expose the new fresh skin beneath while also stimulating collagen. We offer a 30 day money back guarantee on all of our products.

I was so excited to get this peel. I have really done significant research to find the best home peel. My dermatologist told me about 6 months ago that I would benefit from a Jessner's peel since it's a medium depth peel. I had asked for her advice as in my early thirties, I've experienced mild adult acne, acne scarring, mid-size pores, and fine wrinkles. However, all the local dermatologists including mine charged north of $100 per treatment. It just wasn't priority compared to other things until.... I found and decided on this product.

The price seemed almost too good to be true, but I thought I would give it a shot. A years worth of applications for less than $30? What?? Well, I applied the peel. It took two layers to frost. The first layer I already felt an immediate intense stinging sensation. Boy was I surprised but pleased (as I have had a peel before and I know what it feels like when it works). This was a little more intense then the lighter peels I'd tried before like glycolic peels at the derm's office. By the second layer, I was literally tearing as the stinging sensation intensifed. A handheld fan I had did relieve some of the discomfort and as time subsided over the 5 min so did the stinging. Redness, brown and light surface scabbing, and peeling occured in the first few days until now. I'm on day 4. I'm pleased so far. The instructions were very thorough. The kit is fabulous as it comes with a full size moisturizer and a trial size cleanser. A little goes a long way. I will update soon, but I couldn't wait to add my two cents. Oh and by the way, I did prep by using prescribed tretinoin two weeks prior which may be why I reacted quickly and sensitively.

Highly recommend!!

I have been getting $100.00 chemical peels at the dermatologist several times a year. This peel gave me better results and I loved the exfoliating crystals that the seller sent as a sample. I would love to buy some of those! I am doing my peels at home from now on. Seriously if you can wash your own face and run a peice of gauze over it and use a fan you can do this peel. Make sure to follow the instructions exactly and I would do a patch test first if you have never had a peel before. So I was paying $600.00 a year for 6 chemical peels and this bottle for $27.99 has enough for 6 peels if not more. That is a savings of $572.04 a year!!!

*Day three- I am thinking of this as childbirth. Way back when I gave birth to my first born, I said that that was so painful that I was never doing that again. But then you realize what a wonderful miracle came out of all the pain. I'm very hopeful that after all the pain, and there was and still is a lot of pain, that something beautiful will be born that will make me say that I'll do it again someday. Right now it is so tight, itchy, and painful. I can't even eat because it'll crack my skin. Every time I think that my face can't get any tighter, it somehow does. It feels like my face is going to just burst through the exterior layers. It itches as bad as when I had the chicken pox but I know that itching is a sign of healing. It's super tight and plasticy and after every wash and moisturize (which are excellent products) it just gets tighter. There's just no covering this up with makeup so I'm just honest with people. I'm very hopeful that this will turn out well. I will post an update when all is finished.
*Day four- is there supposed to be blood, swelling and puss? I've decided that I'm never doing this again. I have dried up puss on the side of my mouth from it splitting because I had to finally eat. And the swelling is so bad that I look like Cindy Loohoo. I have patches of blood on my face and my entire upper lip is lined with blood. The areas that are bright pink and shiny underneath, I'm terrified that that's scar tissue and I've scarred my face. What was I thinking putting acid on my face. Oh the things we do to stay young. Now my car is breaking down and I actually have to go to the mechanics looking like this.

Great peel. I have done other peels in the past. Be careful. I did perform two layers with frosting. Yipes. It burned like hot tar and I neutralized with baking soda. Thank God I did. I looked awful for work for 4 days. Felt inclined to tell everyone what I had done versus I was in a grease fire... Looked plain scarey... Peeled pretty good by day 6 without major redness. Give yourself a week off or at home for multiple frosting layers....I used organic coconut oil, emu oil, fresh aloe leaves and tea tree during the healing process. Gets very tight espcially on neck, and around mouth. Be very very careful around your neck. The skin is much thinner.

I bought the peel a few months ago along with some other products and honestly after reading some of the super scary reviews I was scared to try it. I've used the 40% glycolic peel evey four weeks and love it, I've had a retinol peel before and didn't think this would be nearly as strong. I followed the instructions and using the gauze, starting on my forehead was a bad idea. It dripped in my eye, I immediately rinsed and started over. I started frosting immediately and didn't even make it the five minutes before I couldn't take it anymore and rinsed with baking soda water. 48 hours later and I'm peeling fabulously. Next time I will use my fan brush and start on my chin where my problem area is. I knew what to expect because I've had a peel before so I'm not going to whine and complain about what I look like, I put acid on my face and I look like I put acid on my face. This is not a glycolic peel that just loosens the goo that holds your dead skin on. This peel makes you look yucky for a few days, if you can't deal with that, it's not for you. Otherwise, once your yucky old skin falls off and your new skin appears you'll feel like you're 20 something again.
