Jake and (to a certain extent) Ravenda are likable enough, but they just don't feel like I get to know them very well. The bad guys, Dykstra and (oh hell - not again) the COMPANY are so one dimensional that is gets boring - like haven't we read this too many time before - and done better by others authors. Yeah, we all know companies are bad and if they didn't provide jobs... OH never mind - kicked that dead horse before and it ain't going to travel another mile for us.
Ultimately, the 'religious' stuff hurts the book development some. The style is there but somehow just doesn't feel right.
This is a real shame, because there is (probably) a very good book in this some where - the question is, what happened to it along the way to completion?
I didn't find the character development very good. I thought the plot was a little disjointed as well.
Vaguely reminded me of the resurrection premise behind THE FAR ARENA which I read decades ago, and that's not bad. =)

A bit of a reach for a Western (European) reader but well written.
Depends too much on 'spirits' and evil European/Capitalist/pseudo-conspiracy but well written for all... Read more
started out really interesting then got weird with bad writing and then the ending just plain sucked. Don't bother with this one. :/Published on May 2, 2013 by Lenora Forostyany
A few aspects of the characters are not very believable, but overall I found this to be quite entertaining with a nice combination of modern and historical content.Published on May 2, 2013 by Michael S M
I really enjoyed the change of locations along with the different heritage information along the chase route. Read morePublished on April 4, 2013 by christine noel
