Skull Shaver was brought to life out of necessity. Company founder, John Lyles, needed a product that he could use on the go with no mess; so he invented Skull Shaver. With the help of Neel Kulshreshtha, the duo brought about Skull Shaver and have been working to bring Skull Shaver to head shavers everywhere.

The Bald Eagle Smart-G model brings our newest Bald Eagle Shaver revision to our USA & World Wide storefront. Just like all of our shavers, the Bald Eagle Smart-G lets you experience a fast and smooth, dry or wet shave. For wet shaving, please use shaving foam. Shaving gel is not recommended as its density and stickiness can clog the blades and hurt performance. The Grip The patented ergonomic design fits in your hand like no other and shaver gives you extra reach for the back of head and body. For best results, hold the shaver between your fingers. Please see the images for an example. The Blades Five large, flexing shaver heads with rotary cutters allow for a fast and close shave. The rotary blades allow you to shave in any direction. You can shave while moving the shaver forward, backward, even in a circular motion. This significantly cuts down on the time it takes to shave, all while you experience no nicks, no cuts, and no burns. Each blade flexes independently, allowing the blades to contour to any head or face shape, giving you an even shave over even the hardest to shave spots. Battery and Charging The Bald Eagle Smart-G features a high performance lithium ion battery that provides up to 90 minutes of usage on a single charge. The lithium ion battery runs strong until it is fully depleted, giving you consistent performance from beginning to end. The battery fully recharges after 2.5 hours.

This might be lengthy. Overall, i do enjoy this shaver quite a bit. it is comfortable to hold, easy to use and provides a good clean cut- when it works. the first two months i had it and never had an issue. Then one day it was loud, turning slowly and eventually locked up and would lot run. I popped the blade off and the motor worked flawlessly with nothing attached. I did some googling and found a page about taking the four outer blades off and cleaning them out. Once you do this, you will know first hand that the manufacturers claim of running it in water for a few seconds does not do anywhere near a good enough job. After i cleaned it out i got a few more shaves and it happened again. I ordered the replacement 2 pack of blades and the first shave went well once again. That blade locked up on about the third shave with it(I am not trying to cut long hairs with it at all by the way). At this point i was pretty frustrated because I'm deployed and cannot quickly send and receive package to rectify the purchase. Since the blade didn't work at all at this point, i figured i would take the thing completely apart and see what i could do. Come to find out, running it in water for a few minutes DEFINITELY does not do the job of cleaning well. the middle portion was completely full of hair and was all gummed up from whatever oil they have in there from the manufacturer and a few of the gears that turn the outer blades were gummed up and stuck- hence the entire things locking up. All blades run off the central blades momentum. I cleaned out all of the hair and did my best to get rid of the nasty oil, it looks like they use a really thick lubricant that gummed up quickly. I put it back together with a small amount of basic mineral oil, nice and light and doesn't gum up( same exact thing as Wahl clipper oil). I have only used it one time since then, but it was by far the best cut I've had from it yet! So while it seems silly to pay so much for something that you have to rebuild the blades on straight from the manufacturer, it really is a great base unit- the blades just could be put together better.
***For me, using lectric shave with this makes it a better experience as well***
I love this shaver but…… I’m shaving my head for past 25 years and let me tell you that I tried everything! This shaver is so far the best. No irritation, no mess, easy to use with outstanding grip. My problem is the battery. I’m using it for 8 month and after 4 month of use the battery did not hold charge for more than 5 minutes. This could not stop me because just like I said this is outstanding product. So I continued shaving with power cord plugged in. But after 4 more months the shaver completely died. Not sure if my product got some manufacturing issue but I would love the manufacturer exchange it so I don’t have to spend another $100. This is definitely 5 STAR products but the battery.
I bought this April 2016. It has been acting poorly the last several months (I read the manual, followed all directions - i.e. cleaning it every use, not using gel based head shaver, etc). It literally just stopped mid shave today - it powers on but the motor doesn't run. As a consumer who spent $150 dollars on a product, one should expect it to work more than a 1.5 years. This is a poor product, save your money, DO NOT BUY THIS or you will be out of your $150 dollars after a year. Not to mention, the warranty lasts a year... which, if you read other experiences, the product seems to crap out just after a year. Seems like it was designed that way with this many people have the same issue. While it worked it was great but I am pissed off I'm out this money now. I will never purchase anything from skull shaver again.

I ordered this after trying various other electric shavers and nothing else feeling like it was working quite right. The first one I received (more on that) worked for about 90 seconds before making a very high pitched whining sound and seizing up. I attempted to clean it and use it again, but the same sound and motor stoppage occurred repeatedly after about 2-3 seconds of running.
I attempted to contact the manufacturer at this point for warranty service, but they did not respond to messages (nor was a human reachable). I then contacted Amazon for a replacement. Upon receiving the second one from Amazon, I charged it up and tried to use it. It also ran for about a minute, and then stopped dead. No whining, no anything, just dead. Both units appeared to be new, and both received a 24 hour charge before use.
In retrospect, these appear to be incredibly poor quality. This is very frustrating, because if they worked properly they would be absolutely perfect and there is nothing else on the market that does the same job. PLEASE, someone manufacture something like this of high quality, and I will happily pay double! As for this version, it's trash.

After using Gillette blades for years, tried this one out (along side the Panasonic WetDry ES8243A) for a few months. It does take a few weeks of use for your skin to adapt when switching to an electric, so keep in mind skin irritation is inevitable during transition. Knowing that, here are my thoughts:
Bald Eagle: + Blades cover wider area, conform to skull for easiest use and faster coverage + Battery lasts for a really long time, much longer than Panasonic - If you've let your hair grow out more than a few days, get ready for hair-pulling and multiple passes over same area - Comparable cut, but not quite as close a cut as Panasonic - Not shower proof / water proof, so can't multitask like the Panasonic - Not as "washable" as the Panasonic, which can quickly be taken apart and cleaned/rinsed thoroughly.
Ultimately while electric shavers feel easier to use, I end up spending more time than with a razor because I have to keep going over stubborn areas. Between the two I suppose I liked the Panasonic more; However, I ended up just going back to blades to get a closer and more consistent shave.
1.0 out of 5 starsI expected more, and maybe that's the problem.

Like most men who lose their hair, I decided to voluntarily go bald in the hope it would confuse women into thinking I was younger than I am. But I didn't fancy the idea of wet-shaving my noggin from all kind of weird angles and cutting myself, so I googled around for an electric shaver designed for such a situation and eventually settled on the Bald Eagle X. Now, maybe I expected too much from this thing or maybe the other, better, more expensive models in the Skull Shaver range have features that mitigate this unit's problems... but the Bald Eagle X really didn't work for me.
This thing really doesn't like hair. If you've got more than 3mm of growth on your head, the shaver will clog up with hair faster than a hipster's plughole. The solution, apparently, is to dunk the blades end in water and turn the shaver on for a few seconds to dislodge the hair. Doesn't work. I had to disassemble the thing, mid-shave, to unclog it with a pair of tweezers and a paperclip, and each time I did, I feared I'd break it. And once the shaver clogs up with hair (which is about three seconds into using it), it slows down, starts making death rattle noises and fails to cut anything. You have to use clippers first to get the hair down to a grade 1 and even then, it's prone to clog anyway. In order to get the device to do any real shaving, you end up pressing the thing into your skull with such force that you're in danger of developing carpal tunnel syndrome.
Maybe I was expecting too much. After all, it is the base model (albeit a £50 base model) and the pricier ones might have a vacuum feature or stronger blades or a hotline to the Samaritans... but the Bald Eagle X is only designed to be a simple shaver and in my mind, it fails at that task too. I did manage to shave my head bald with it after 40-odd minutes of frustration and maybe it works fine if you use it every day... But if you just want to shave your head once a week like a normal folically-challenged man, grab a decent multi-blade razor and some shaving foam and wet shave your bonce instead. It's quicker and there'll be less swearing.
Or swap your shampoo for Veet if you want the no-effort, burning-sensation solution instead.

Don't bother! Currently sat waiting for battery to die. After not turning on or charging at all the damn thing has now come to life on its own and won't turn off. Utter rubbish. Awaiting refund!
My husband has bought this product twice now and it has broken down once just after a year and this second time after just 3 months. In theory it’s a great idea but it just doesn’t last very long. He will not be buying it again.
