The bad side...
They break so easily! Of the 3 pairs I've had, all 3 have become un-wired at the jack. I believe this is because the jack stands straight up and is made of the same rubber compound the casing around the wires are. This jack rubs against your pocket or inside of the bag you're carrying it in. They last on average 3-5 months for me. I use them heavily to walk to class, bike ride, and run.
These headphones are better suited for the indoor listener or on a computer where the risk of rupture is limited.
Take care of them if you do buy em', I suggest the V-moda buds instead. On the V-moda's the jack is encased in alloy (probably aluminum) and the sound quality is just as excellent.
I'm no stranger when it comes to SkullCandy. Now here's a warning about this review. You may consider it biased but I bought this product and it's done all I wanted and more. I've owned countless different headphone/ear-buds from Skull Candy. (Skull Crushers, Ink'd, Tokidoki Smokin', Black Smokin, Hesh, DUB, and ICON). Each providing a different sound level to my liking. This review was done 1 month after I purchased (4/8/11) and tested it out for about a full month.
The product is almost as shown in the picture. (Silicone Gel is WHITE, not Black) However other than that you aren't disappointed when you see it in real life. The wire is standard (Not threaded like my Tokidoki SK's) but the length is good (At least if not over 3Ft, don't know the actual measurements off hand).
The in-line controller works wonders and is simple to use with my iPhone and I use it occasionally when receiving/making calls (Read Product Description for Control Functions). The mic according to my friends is the same if not better than the standard iPhone mic.
I also find it easier to use my iPod by just requiring me to select a playlist I have, hitting play, and locking it not having to unlock it again unless I wanna change playlists, listen to a certain song, or put it on random/repeat. The only controls available are Play/Pause (If play is hit outside of iPod or call it will automatically continue where you left off or start playing from your Music), Next Song, and Volume Up/Down. (Which is all I really need.)
The case is decent, however it could be better. The pictures don't do it justice since it only shows the top which is hard and looks like it'll protect your ear-buds VERY well.Read more ›

Good sound. Lasted a few years before one of the earpieces stopped transmitting sound. The earbuds were annoying though with the embossed skull.Published 4 months ago by Allison
They have good sound quality and the bass is very clean, but just like every other brand of earbuds I buy, after 6 months one side goes out because of the wire-to-earbud... Read morePublished 5 months ago by Nathan Johnson

They sound great.
The cord on this white version tangles too much compared to the cloth sheathed version.
