I purchased these headphones because they stated they were "sports" headphones. I have the Skullcandy Ink'd earbuds, and while the sound quality of those are good, the buds slip out of the ear very easily, despite using the correct silicone buds. I wanted earbuds that would stay in my ear during exercise, and these claimed they were construced for that purpose. Trying them on, I realized that the sound was terrible. The "bud" part of the Chops does not fit in the ear; it is too far from the auditory meatus to hear any base. This causes the sound to seem distant, as if listening to someone's car stereo from a few feet away, which ruins the treble. There was nothing wrong with the headphones in terms of manufacturing defects; it is simply a very poor design. The Chops are also very uncomfortable to the point of being physically painful. Again, this is due to poor design. These headphones might be of some use to someone with very bizarre ear physiology, but for the average audiophile, Chops are truly awful. The price does not fit the quality of the product; these are not worth $20 (which is what I paid for them at a retail store). Save your money and buy sports headphones from a different manufacturer, as Skullcandy headphones have a lot of glitz without actual substance; pretty to look at, but average to low quality in sound.

Unless I'm using over the ear headphones, I exclusively use ones with ear clips. I do this because I find both the iPod style buds and the ones that squish into the hears to fall out too easily.

I previously had a pair of Sony clip ons, but they eventually stopped working. Also, they tended to get uncomfortable after a few hours of wear. I have a pair of Philips buds that I use at the gym, but I wanted a more stylish pair for wearing everywhere else that wouldn't be sweaty.

I purchased these because 1) They are blue. 2) They clip. 3) The price was great.

Positives:
- The price is perfect.
- They are comfortable, even after a full day's use.
- The sound is good enough, what do you expect for < $20.00?
- The pivoting clips allow me to open up the buds so I can have a conversation without having to remove them. Since the buds squish into the ear, the volume doesn't need to be that loud in the first place. Meaning, when I open the buds for a conversation, I can barely hear the music bleed out making conversation easy.
- The inline volume control works very well with my iPod. I didn't even realize it had it until they arrived.

Negatives:
- There isn't much bass. (What do you expect from low end buds?)
- I prefer the mesh style cords, but again, those aren't on low end buds.

I give this five stars because of the price. If they were >$20.00, I'd knock it down to four stars because of the bass. Otherwise, these are the best (cheap) buds I've ever purchased. I wish the blue was more cobalt though.

These earbuds look and feel pleasant enough with durable rubber wire and comfortably fitting earbuds. The problem is that they shock my ear periodically. Granted, I'm only using these for workouts where I am sweating (though they do occasionally shock on dry skin), so perhaps they aren't made to withstand this abuse. I'll still keep using them until they break (or until I'm convulsing), but I will get a different model in the future.

they are the only kind I buy. I can't keep the ones that dont have the ear attachment in my ears, they just pop out. These are great, I wear them to the gym with no problems. I also like that I don't have to have the things in my ears, as I find it very uncomfortable

I bought ta pair for my boyfriend because he kept stealing the ones I owned. These are great for running or everyday use. I NEVER have to worry about them popping out of my ears. Sound quality is perfect. And I really like that you can adjust them in a few areas for max comfort.

I got these for my niece because she was constantly using mine that are exactly the same just pink. She has small ears just like me and ear buds don't fit and don't stay in my ears or hers so these were perfect because even though they are still just a tad bit big, they are the first set of headphones that fit well and stay in. Exactly what I wanted for her and she loves that they are blue. Great product and worth getting for those in your life with small ears!

The following review was written by my wife, who wanted these headphones:

I've owned two pairs of skullcandy chops, this one is my third pair. The two previous pairs were destroyed by pets. I really like these headphones for running. I have small ears and most headphones don't fit, so finding a pair that stays put and is comfortable to wear is important to me.

As far as sound quality, that's not something I worry about. I do think these headphones are of a good quality for the price you pay for them. I would recommend them for anyone seeking good, reliable headphones that don't slip when you are working out. Too bad skullcandy is no longer making them, they were probably the best they've made.

These are cheap earbuds that I bought while I fix the chord on my over the ear headphones. I knew not to expect much, but these sound terrible. The bass is practically non-existent. I can honestly say that they're no better than the typical poor quality earbuds you get with phones.

Their one redeeming quality is that they won't easily fall off. They fit well under my bike helmet, so I suppose that's also a plus.
