I bought these a few weeks ago and i planned on writing a review. My wife tells me I have to many headphones already but I'm a guy who likes his music. ( First written review ever by the way)I have tons of headphones ( small and big ) and the Dre beats silver studio pros which are great, as well but didn't want to take them to the gym b/c of the crazy cost. I always test headphones before i buy them in stores if i can but these i had to order online so i was rolling the dice hoping i wouldnt have to send them back. These have serious bass and do the job just right for my one and only purpose (the gym) with a rubbery feel to them so I don't worry about sweating in them to much. I listen to all types of music ( i like the highs and the deep bass in music ) but the bottom line IS the clarity/quality of the song that you have on your iPod or device. It will sound like garbage if you have a low quality version of your music. So don't blame the headphones. Not heavy, and folds up good. Might give you a headache if you have the bass maxxed out for an entire workout don't want to test it out so I adjust the switch often. Gives beats a Good run for their money! Blocks out the outside noise pretty well. You don't need the bass booster on the side for all your songs just the hard rap and pump up music. Run with them on he treadmill but I wouldn't wear them outside running b/c you will sweat even more with no a/c!

Pros: cost, durability, color, feel, light weight, cord is a good length. Vibrates your ears like a subwoofer seriously you will look at them and laugh in disbelief ( could be a "Con" as well if you don't like the constant bass vibration)

Con's: look bulky on your head, not as fancy looking as beats but who cares , not wearing them to meet anyone's approval!

I'll say this upfront: I own a LOT of Skullcandy headphones. Mostly because I like their form factor, and because of the lifetime warranty. My favorite out of all the Skullcandy headphones was the Skullcrushers, the daddy of these new Crushers. They were the most comfortable headphones I'd ever worn and despite a few annoyances (the in-line bass that was a huge battery eater was a bit obnoxious), they gave good quality for the price with the bass gimmick as a bonus.

Since I had SK credit, I picked up the Crushers on day one, hoping they lived up to the Skullcrushers' legacy. Do they? In terms of bass, absolutely. Should you replace your current cans for this hundred-doller new offering from Skullcandy? Well...maybe.

First off, the bass. It's quite awesome. The bass slider and battery are now in the ears (left and right, respectively) which is much more convenient than the bulky in-line adjuster. While my Crushers' slider is a little stiff, it's still much more convenient than before. It also auto turns off after 10 seconds of silence - one of the biggest problems with the Skullcrushers is I kept forgetting to turn the bass off when I was done listening - and the new detachable cord with mic (which is quickly becoming a Skullcandy standard) is one of the best ideas they've had. It worked great with my Hesh 2s, works great here.

But what really soars with this headphones is their comfort and pounding bass. The original Skullcrushers used soft leather and were insanely comfortable, but also got REALLY sweaty in the heat. These are just as comfortable but with a bit more air, allowing your head to breath. They're also not as tight as some other Skullcandy cans (Hesh 2s, for example) which is great; I don't need my head in a vice here.

I have the black pair, which is now sold out. Sorry for the confusion on color.

Without even putting the battery in, these headphones sound pretty sweet. With a good audio source, I found the sound to be very crisp and clear. The highs are definitely cut some, but otherwise things are balanced pretty well. These were certainly developed for hip-hop, but they sound good with other genres too. The real fun starts when you install the battery and start to turn the amp up. This headphones go from sweet to stupid with just a short slide of the level slider. Don't anticipate being able to read while wearing these if you turn the amp up all the way, everything will become fuzzy real quick.

The build quality is good and the packaging is even nice. They feel like they could be broken with little effort, but I don't feel like they would be compromised by normal wear and tear. The ear cup cushions are very soft and supple. They are quite comfortable, and do not cause any discomfort with hours of continuous use. However, your ear drums may appreciate a break from the bass every now and then.

I was skeptical about these, but I took a leap of faith. I must say it was worth it. These are without a doubt the best pair of headphones I've owned, and I would go as far as to say that they sounds just as good as any Beats headphones I ever tried.

Amazing sound for a quiet cheap headphone. The bass gimmick is fun but don`t get it twisted, the Crusher is an all around beast. I`m so glad I got them for at a discount. They are really comfortable and the cups are huge. These headphones sound even better than my $300 Bose noise cancelling quiet comfort. Don`t hesitate; if you`re looking for a good pair of headphones that doesn`t break the wallet, these are the way to go.
