Over all, these are very good, high quality headphones and I would recommend them to anyone willing to spend the money on them.
UPDATE: After almost a full year of heavy use of this headset, it finally broke. The same as all of the pictures posted in other reviews. It popped apart as I took the headset off of my head. However, the damage is pretty minor. I just used electrical tape to hold it together untill I have a chance to either super glue or hot glue it back into place. The headset itself works just fine still. The plastic ports that the screws rest in are what snapped. I have to deduct a star from my original rating but after a year of constant use and no issues in that time, I'd still recommend this product to anyone who wants a wireless headset for gaming. Just take care of it and it will go far.
The breaks are mostly one of the earphones just stopping to work. However, when my wife's first unit died for the second time, it was having all sorts of problems ranging from earphone not working to general sound being quiet. The second time my first unit died was because the microphone stopped working and would shred the ears of anyone on voice chat with me.
I really am at a loss for words. I like Skullcandy as a brand due to their earbuds, and I liked the sound quality of these headphones, but the lackluster quality is just simply unbelievable. Everything in this post is 100% true, and even I can't believe it upon reflection. 4 pairs of headsets purchased, 5 total instances of them breaking with no physical abuse whatsoever.
Unfortunately, when I took it off this morning, the right plastic side just snapped right off.
Really disappointing :(
Earlier this week, the other side just snapped right off. I almost lost one of the tiny screws since nothing was holding the screw in place. The plastic that houses the screw broke into pieces. I bought loctite super glue for plastic. It comes in two bottles (an activator and the glue itself). Appears to be holding well together.
