Okay, I knew nothing about Skylanders until recently when my son went into great detail about how cool they are and he must have them for his birthday. I have to say they are very cool! Each figure represents a person you can play on the game. You put the character on the portal and instantly you become that character on the screen. Very unique. My son also plays with the figurines outside of the Wii game...so you get more bang for your buck. Each character has it's own special power. They are not cheap, but my son shares and exchanges with his friends. I also like that there is a story to the game as well. The kids have to read as they go, so it isn't just mindless video game playing. My son said it is like a movie and a game combined. It is all the rage with his friends! The down side is you have to buy the specific Skylander for YOUR game system, meaning Wii characters will only work on Wii, not XBox.

This is one of those things I got because I heard other kids love them. It was a holiday gift for the kids (New Years since we don't do Christmas). I personally didn't see the appeal and despite hoping my kids would love it as much as I heard other kids do, I worried it would be a waste of money (along with the skylanders video game). However, I worried for nothing. This is one of the kids' most-played-with games and they use pretty much every character they have every day. Can't really tell you how it works. I haven't used it with them yet. All I know is they love it. I bought it as a gift to make them happy, and it did just that. What more could I ask for?

My child wants me to give this two stars because she didn't receive the sticker that was supposed to come with this purchase. I did contact the seller asking about the sticker, and in my closing, I advised them that the triple character pack was opened although not damaged. Their response was that I could return it for an exchange or take a 15% because of the open package with no mention of the missing sticker. The sticker wasn't a big deal for me, it was a big deal for my child that saved and purchased this with her own money. My issue is the lack of response about the addressing the sticker when the my correspondence was not about returning or exchanging the product, it was simply asking for the sticker that was advertised.

While the supply issues continue with Skylanders and there's no resolution in sight for collectors/gamers; I got lucky to find this item when it still cost $18 on amazon. Do NOT overpay for skylanders and eventually the ebay gougers will go away. As for the item, I'm still not a huge fan of either available AIR characters, Whirlwind is cute but not easy for kid's to play. Double Trouble basically has a pet that seeks out enemies (similar to Sonic Boom) and is a pretty fun play. Drill Sergeant is also a pretty typical machine character and quite fun to play as well. Highly recommend this set until the other two air characters are finally released in a few months.

I bought this for my friends kid as a birthday gift and she absolutely loves it. From what I was told the only issue is it will not work with other expansion packs. I couldn't tell you one way or another, I grew up with Nintendo and excite bike, lol. Overall she is happy with it and I guess that's all that really matters.

He wanted one of the characters in this set for his game on his XBox so I found this triple pack and had it mailed to him. He was expecting one Skylander and got three, since he is six years old, it was a big surprise and he was able to defeat his level he had trouble with in his game. Since it was mailed to him very fast it was a double bonus.
