These Skylanders Are Ugly, But Powerful!

I bought these Skylanders on amazon a few weeks back when they were hard to find. I figured I was getting a pretty good deal seeing as these Skylanders often went for much more on eBay. Only once they arrived did I realize how ugly the figures were, but once I started playing with them I saw how powerful they were in the game.

ZOOK- Life element Skylanders. His primary attack is shooting his ba'zook'a forwards like Gill Grunt's Harpoons. His secondary attack is building a barrier in front of him made from bamboo. He is a very powerful Skylanders, although not as good as some other life Skylanders. He is pretty ugly looking, so I would recommend Camo or Stealth Elf over him if you only want one Life Skylanders.

CYNDER- Undead element Skylander. Her primary attack is shooting electricity in front of her in a somewhat wide range for a few seconds. Her secondary attack is disappearing and going through enemies while making ghosts appear and killing the enemies she went through. Her figure looks sort of strange compared to how she looks in game, but she's probably one of the more powerful Undead Skylanders and a cool addition to anyone's collection.

LIGHTNING ROD- Air element Skylanders. Let me say that I was put off of this figure to begin with. I thought his figure's eyes and mouth made him look really derpy and just didn't like his design at all. But then I played him in game. He looks much less derpy, and is very powerful. His primary attack is shooting lightning from his hand and his secondary attack is shooting lightning outwards. He is my favorite Air Skylander, and he is a great addition in the fight against Kaos.

OVERALL- This is a great 3 pack for powerful characters. They are the ugliest three pack in my opinion, though. However, you won't mind if you like collecting all the figures and need some help beating the game.

Kids are obsessed with Skylanders

My boys are 6 & 9. We have a Wii and I purchased the Skylanders starter kit for Christmas even though my kids had never heard of the product before. I read the reviews on Amazon and it seemed that gamers of all ages love Skylanders. They absolutely love Skylanders and are on a mission to get every character. Several of the neighborhood kids also have Skylanders so we bought a carrying case (not Activision's) because their characters will work on any gaming system's Skylander's portal. Our portal was using a lot of batteries and I e-mailed Activision and within a week they sent me another one free of charge that does not use so much battery power. A hint on the internet from another parent was to buy a case from Lowe's or Home Depot made by Stanley for around $10 each to store the Skylanders. It works perfect. If you love Spyro you will love Skylanders.

This pack has some excellent characters, especially with Zook

Lightning Rod: A decent character, he comes with both long range and a decent defensive ability. As far as Air type Skylanders go, I rate him as 3/4 below Sonic Boom and Warnado.

Cynder: Fairly fun character. Having tried both paths, I'd say this is one of those characters that can be good with either path. Among the Undead characters I've got, Cynder is 2/3, slightly behind Ghost Roaster, yet far in front of Chop Chop.

Zook: One of the greats. Zook possesses some good offensive ability and excellent defense if taken down his plant path. Of the Life Skylanders, I'd rank him as tied for #1 alongside Camo, with Zook perhaps being a shade better.

My son LOVES these skylanders and to get a three pack for 20.00 was great - most places charge 25.00 and other outlets even more. Each skylander has a certain power and there are water, sun, undead elements and so on. I don't know what exactly it teaches children but I know that to keep my 11 year old amused for as long as these skylanders does I'd give it ten stars if theyd let me!! THis particular pack he liked Zook the best... that was from him I don't know one skylander to the next but he said Zook is his favorite.

I bought the characters for my son, and as far as i know he enjoys them and the game in general a lot. I'm very surprise about the Amazon service. Not that i had bad experiences in the past. It has been always very good, but this time it was outstanding. the delivery of the package was exceptionally fast.
