As with all of the Skylanders, these characters are beautifully created. The design of the characters as well as the various textures and colors on the same character make them little works of art.

As for the game play, we really enjoy them. We have found buying the Spyro's characters gives us double bang for our buck since they all work on the Spyro and Giants game. Originally, my son really wanted Stup Smash and I found this pack for nearly the same price as the single character, so to build his Skylanders collection, I got this triple pack instead.

I have to say that after playing with all three characters, Drobot has become one of our favorite characters to play. The Spyro version of the character seems bigger and more majestic looking than the Giant's version. And once you start powering up Drobot, he's practically unstoppable. Not to mention, he is one of the few characters who can fly after you've powered him up.

Flameslinger and Stump Smash are two classic characters and we enjoy playing with them as well. You could buy the individual characters, but buying the triple pack is more affordable and builds your collection more quickly. And these are three great classic Skylanders that everyone should own.

Drobot, Flameslinger & Stump Smash:
Fair Character pack. Drobot and "Stumpy" are good early on. They are not so useful on the highest levels, because their secondary attack abilities are lacking. The action gets hot and heavy on the higher levels. Stumpy only regurgitates acorns. Any enemy running into it loses hit points but is not destroyed. In cases where it's hot and heavy you really need a dynamic secondary weapon.

In the beginning it seems like Flameslinger is going to be useless with his single arrow. With his speed and secondary ability to run in a circle around the enemies, he's able to torch anything inside that circle. Keeps him out of danger because he's running. He also has a multi-arrow attack from distance. He can stand off from danger and rain fire arrows down on the enemy.

Drobot has speed with his afterburners. He also can shoot out up to three discs in a triangle pattern Not very useful when you need accuracy in later rounds in addition to volume hits.

I've had my eye on this game for my grandson (who's 5) for months. I finally bought the starter pack for Wii. This is a great interactive game for both children and adults. I love playing this game with my grandson, especially battle mode. However, the action figures are hide to find. Most you have to buy online at outrageous prices. Why do some people have to spoil great games for kids. Sad. We have most of the figures, but would definitely like to have them all.

So, it's a bit complicated. I got an email saying that the item was not going to arrive because it was lost or damaged during shipment, so I asked for my money back, and I got it. Then, about a week later, I got the package! So I technically got it for free! Other than that, the figures look good and work.
