Dragons are smart, but none so much as Drobot. He was born in the highest reaches of Skylands, where dragons spent all their time competing in aerial battles. But Drobot was more interested in taking things apart to see how they worked. While exploring one day, he came upon some mysterious technology, which he used to assemble a robotic suit. Features include laser beams that shoot from his eyes, flight enhancement technology, a vocal synthesizer that gives him a deep booming voice, and the ability to shoot spinning gears. With such power - more than most other dragons - Drobot joined the Skylanders to help protect the residents of Skylands.

This is a great tech skylander! His main attacks are shooting lasers out of his eyes and shooting gears out of his wings. You can upgrade him to fly (well it's more like boosters in his wings that let him move really fast), and he can fly over water too. In spyro's adventure he makes random robot noises but in every other game he says "blink and destroy" when you put him on the portal. There is also a lightcore version that lights up when you put it on the portal, if you would rather buy that one instead. Overall Drobot is a great tech skylander and one of my favorites.

For those that have already bought the Skylanders Starter Pack, you've probably got annoyed that you'd have to keep on pressing the A button to have trigger happy fire faster. Well, now your problem is solved, Drobot is a dragon that built a metallic, robotic suit that gives him powers of unimaginable heights! Drobot shoots lasers from his eyes, and is a lot easier to use than trigger happy, since all you have to do is hold down the A button, and destroy! The B button throws blade gears to either side of you, it's not good to aim at enemies, since they don't go straight forward. But are excellent to hurt enemies that you can't get to. For example, if you are fighting a Drow witch, and their is a Chompies gaining on you. You can throw some blade gears. And since they bounce of walls a couple of times, there is a good chance it will hit the Chompies, while you continue destroying that Drow witch. Other than the continuous, deadly lasers, my favorite thing about Drobot is the thruster flight. It is faster than the flying of most other dragons. Sadly, when you get the thruster flight, you can only go forward, there is no hovering, and if you touch an object, you immediately start walking again. There is an upgrade later that allows you to hover by holding down the Z button, but there is no upgrade to continue flying even if you bump into an object (if you are on the water and hit and object, you just bounce the other way).
Overall, Drobot is a great character for your collection of Skylanders, he's one of my favorite since, well, he destroys stuff before they even get close to him.
Please be aware that Drobot is classified into the tech element, and that you already have a tech Skylander, trigger happy, from the starter pack. If you are trying to get one of each element, you should probably think about another Skylander.

I purchased Drobot for 7.99 from Amazon. First off, I'm going to tell you not to pay people who are overpricing them. These figues are worth 7.99-9.99, and nothing more.

Now, onto Drobot. He was the first Skylander that caught my eye, and I haven't regretted buying him at all. He has a pretty cool voice, and he's just an interesting character.

Drobot's first attack is the ability to shoot lasers from his eyes. This attack is quick and easily injures enemies, without any upgrades. With the upgrades, you are able to defeat enemies from a distance without being hit. The lasers increase in damage and later shoot from his wings as well.
His second attack is shooting Bladegears from his wings. If you choose to upgrade him in this area, the blades will later do increased damage, be able to explode, and shoot three at once.

Even as my Skylander collection increased, Drobot remains one of my most favourite and loved Skylanders. I recommend him highly.

Skylanders, itself is an entertaining game. The PS3, Wii, and Xbox versions are more of a typical dungeon crawl RPG. And the one for the 3DS is a little harder. The big console games are kind of glitchy, and the plot and dialogue is simple. But the ability to customize your skylanders is a very fun concept.

Drobot, himself, is a fun tech element to use. His attacks aren't very powerful but they are very fast. His best stat is defense. His laser attacks are quick and accurate whereas his gear blades shoot off to the side with a little more Power.

I got this one because it looked like a steampunk dragon. I already had a tech character, but I definitely like Drobot better.His moves are decent and he's pretty much on par with the majority of other characters. Nothing to complain about and if you're wanting another dragon (or tech character), then he'd do it for you.

I actually accidentally ordered 2. The figure I kept works fine and the shipping box was undamaged but both had damage to the plastic packaging - one was taped up with packing tape like it had been opened and returned before. The description said new. Other than that, no issues.
