Let me start by saying this; I was very excited to get Drill Sergeant in the mail, but once I began playing him, I was disappointed.
Drill Sergeant has the ability to shoot his two drills out, as well as bulldoze into his enemies. Well is might seem cool, these attacks are weak. One of his upgrades is to shoot blasters out of a thing on his head. I was displeased, because this attack only damages enemies by 2. I upgraded him along his bulldoze path, but still, he is not very strong. I think I'm going to reset him and choose the Drill Rocket path instead, just to see if it makes a difference. So if your the kind of person who likes to charge in somewhere and crush they're enemies into dust, then Drill Sergeant isn't for you. Other then the fact that's he's pretty neat looking, I don't recommend him all that highly.
As for value and where to get him, there are a couple things I can say. For those of you who think Drill Sergeant is only available at Wal-Mart, he is now being sold at every other video game store in a single pack, and in a triple pack with Whirlwind and Double Trouble. And for you nerds who have nothing better to do then buy Skylanders and buy all that you can, just to overprice them and sell to kids who just want to play, lay off. Drill Sergeant, and all the other Skylanders, are worth no more then $7.99 - $9.99 for a single pack, and $19.99 for a triple pack.
