I have it wrapped to return to Amazon as it was absolutely unusable. My son was so excited to receive the pack. When we went to download the necessary software required to use the pack, we found that it is no longer available and was discontinued making the iPad version unusable. I cannot understand why this pack is still sold. I should be discontinued as well as it cannot be played. The one star is virtually more that it should be rated.

Great for beginners who don't want to spend a premium buying a console just to try this

This is the started pack to get if you want to try this game and not fork out a huge amount on buying a Playstation or Xbox console just for this. It's compatible with the iPad Air which my cousin is using and it's easy to pick the game up even for someone like me who hasn't heard of Skylanders until only a few days ago.

FYI - The apple store no longer carries the app to play the game. A warning would have been nice. Bought 2 for Christmas for the kids and have to return it now. Super bummed.

I bought this for my son who loves all things Skylanders. He already has the wiiU version but wanted to be able to play the game on the go also. He uses it on an iPad mini with no problems. The game downloaded and the portal connected with ease. He has been playing it now for a few weeks and loves that he can take it with him and still play his favorite game.
