I liked how this book started with a nice history of skyscrapers. As it introduced more concepts in engineering, the children were able to build on word banks as well as thinking skills.
My all-time favorite part of this book was that each chapter ends off with activities so the children can build and experience what they have learned.
I think this book will be a great addition to our learning. It combines both education with hands-on experiences. Such a great fine.

1 - The bomber that crashed into the Empire State Building during WWII was a B-25 Mitchell bomber, not a B-52. (p102-3) B-52s were first produced in 1955, much later than WWII. (Wikipedia and other sources)
2 - Basic chemistry error, pp. 75, "Water splits into hydrogen and chlorine gas." What? Water is H2O, or hydrogen and oxygen. My staffer says chlorine gas can be a byproduct of electolysis and sent me data about it.
