J.Y. Jones is author of "Worship Not The Creature: Animal Rights and the Bible"([...]) Dr. Bergman has done a masterful job of creating a book that exposes the orthodox Darwinism of academia, science, and the government as what it is: Vehemently prejudiced against any who would dare to disagree. His case is so well-documented with letters, e-mails, papers, and other communications that the perpetrators of this discrimination should repent of their actions in the biblical "sackcloth and ashes," though their purported rejection of a Supreme Being to whom they will ultimately give account for their actions makes this unlikely. Bergman shows how "Darwin doubters," whether young-Earth creationists or simply proponents of intelligent design (ID), are subjected to all kinds of punishment for the sole reason that they don't follow the party line in their beliefs. These punishments include, in the university setting, denial of earned degrees, denial of tenure to professors, and adverse recommendations for job-seekers. When all else fails, their criticism of anyone who doesn't accept evolution by godless chance often degenerates into simple name-calling (IDiot, creatard, etc). All this is done with the approval of the courts and the complicity of government, which are also tied inextricably to the erroneous and (most people believe) unscientific doctrine of evolution. What Bergman demonstrates perhaps most effectively is that it is one's belief system that matters most in the academic or science setting; by this he infers accurately that Darwinism itself is also a belief system, and to succeed, especially in science and academia, one must be a "true believer" in evolution by random processes. These actions by the evolutionary establishment are actually a huge threat to everyone's freedoms, as these proponents have in effect become today's Nazi Party, engaged in mind control and political correctness of the worst sort. Unless they are opposed effectively, they will have their way indefinitely. This book is a must-read for anyone who wants to know the truth about Darwinism and why our country's rigid adherence to it is contributing to our decline as a world power and as a bastion of freedom and democracy.
