In this installment, Cat was determined to figure out who killed one of the college students who worked at Outlaw, a local Old West town, complete with characters in costume and a realistic-looking gun fight. I really enjoyed this retreat's group of authors as well as the college student Jessi who joined them. It was awesome how they took her under their wing and didn't think of her as just another rich college kid.
A well-plotted mystery that had me going as to who the killer was for awhile. Even when I sort of guessed, I wasn't totally sure of the reason, which makes for a lot of fun when Cat and her friends sleuthed it out. I'm anxiously waiting for the next book!
Once the mystery has been solved I love what Seth has done for Shauna at the end of this story. He loves Cat and would do anything to make her friend and partner happy again. Shows that he cares for Shauna and just not her cooking abilities either. You start reading Lynn Cahoon's stories and they are very hard to put down.
When Jessi's roommate is murdered wearing her costume and driving Jessi's car, was Jessi the intended victim or was it really Danielle?
As always Lynn Calhoun gives us a good story with plenty of interesting characters. And I have to admit so far I liked this group of writers.
