Used in hospital nurseries nationwide, this wearable blanket fits comfortably over your child's sleepwear, replacing loose blankets in the crib that can cover your baby's face and interfere with breathing. Keeps Children Safe And Comfortable All Night

Since 2005, The American Academy of Pediatrics has recommended the use of wearable blankets for safe sleep. Unlike regular blankets, the HALO SleepSack wearable blanket is worn over your child's sleepwear, so it won't be kicked off. This means your child stays safe, warm, and comfortable all night. The inverted bottom zipper lets you change diapers easily, so there's no need to undress your baby. For comfort, its sleeveless design reduces the risk of overheating, while the "Back is Best" embroidery reminds all caregivers to place babies on their backs to sleep.

Recommended By Hospitals And Safety Organizations

The HALO SleepSack wearable blanket is used by more than 1,250 hospital nurseries in North America to teach parents safe sleep practices. The sack design allows room for your baby's legs to move freely to ensure proper hip development, and has been approved as "Hip Healthy" by the International Hip Dysplasia Institute. It is the only wearable blanket to carry the gold seals from First Candle/SIDS Alliance and the Canadian Foundation for the Study of Infant Deaths.

HALO’s Mission: Help Babies Sleep Safely

HALO’s founder Bill Schmid and his wife lost their first born to SIDS. From this tragedy, HALO and its mission were born. For over 15 years we've been educating parents about safe sleep practices and have supported non-profit organizations such as First Candle/SIDS Alliance and The Canadian Foundation for the Study of Infant Death. Since 2005, the American Academy of Pediatrics has suggested the use of wearable blankets. Today, HALO SleepSack wearable blankets are a trusted choice of hospitals, and are used throughout North America to help babies sleep safely from the start.

I have brought the sleepsack since my baby was 1 month old. I'm very fond of them given that my son always kick off his covers at night. This allows me to be at peice knowing that he is not cold at night and that no blanket will be suffocating him. I hate to say that the halo sleepsack only stops at Xlarge. My son will soon need to find something else since he's growing out of the Xlarge. I hope they will consider making something for toddler since till now my son will kick off his cover at night.

Sleep sacks are the only bedtime blanket I use with my twin boys. They are a safe option for when they are really little, and continue to be a great choice as they age because the kids can't kick them off and get cold in the middle of the night. If you aren't sure what size to get, always go larger. They can grow into it, and they are not walking in it anyways, so no harm in being too big!

Great for kids who kick off their covers! The wearable blanket, or sleep sack, keeps them covered. WOuld be nice is there was a bigger version, and a non-armless version. Color is true to sage green image pictured.Fleece did not remain soft and fluffy--after only a few washings, material is rough and pilling.

wish i had only purchased a couple mediums and a couple XLs. those are the 2 sizes you'll ever need from birth til 2 yrs. we live in los angeles, so i would suggest sticking to the cotton ones instead of fleece, but the fleece was nice for when we went back east for christmas.

I bought this for my son when he was under a year old and it was pretty big, but the sack is still performing great while he wears it at 17 months. Kept my boy wonderfully warm throughout the winter and has withstood many washings without losing shape, size or heft/warmth. Great product!

My 18 month son rolls around to much to ever keep a blanket on. This keeps him warm throughout the night. It's plenty big to last at least until he's 24 months. Hopefully he'll be ready for a blanket by then.

It works great! I buy in an XL size so my son can grow into it. Too big is no big deal but too small and he can't stretch his legs. Right now, he's probably a medium but an XL serves it's purpose... it's not a blanket he can get over his head but it keeps him warm like a blanket. LOVE IT!

I bought this when my 14 month old began to outgrow his Large sleep sack. I'm still not comfortable letting him sleep with blankets, and with the cold winter months, he needed more than just some long sleeved, long pants pajamas. This was perfect! I love sleep sacks for him!
