I'd look for another product.
Although this swaddle looked very long when I got it, the size was actually perfect from about age 2 months to 4 months for our little guy, who was 22.5-25" long during this time. The swaddle wings kept it tightly oriented around his torso without twisting, and then he had plenty of free movement from the hips down to kick and move his legs.
The weight of the cotton material was perfect for the spring months. We had baby in long sleeve, footed PJs underneath during the night, and we would just swaddle him in whatever clothes he was wearing during the day for naps. We rotated between this swaddle and one other, so that we could put one in the laundry as needed. We used these 2 daily (for naps and overnights) for two months straight. The material did not pill up, and the velcro remained in great shape.
I did feel like the cotton material was slightly less stretchy than the microfleece we had used for the newborn size swaddles, which resulted in baby being able to wiggle his arms out of this one on occasion. However, he was also getting stronger by the end of us swaddling him, so that might be why he was able to escape a few times.
Will definitely be using this again whenever baby #2 decides to make an appearance!
Swaddleme Wrapsack = favorite. It's a bit big on our 6 week old, but it t still works. I opted for this design because sometimes he likes to have his arms out. I like the zipper at the bottom for easy access for diaper changes. The Velcro is large enough to grip well but small enough to be manageable. It's really easy to get on him tight and doesn't ride up under his chin.
Halo Sleepsack - close #2. The only thing that really places this below the swaddleme design is that the Velcro pieces are so big it's a bit harder to manage. You really don't need Velcro this large. The quality of the material and the zipper are solid. We ordered the design for this one that also allows for arms in or out.
The Miracle Blanket - distant third. Where I would order another swaddleme or Halo for back up, I would not order a second miracle blanket. I don't like that this works best by pinning the babies arms straight down by its sides. I also find that this is only marginally easier to put on than a real swaddle blanket. I also struggle that by the time I put the baby down to sleep, the blanket has crept up under his chin to the point where I'm concerned.
Woombie - distant #4. This design may work for some but it does not work for our baby. Every time we put him in this he peed almost immediately and seemed very distressed. He likes to be able to get his hands near his face and this completely locks their hands inside of the swaddle. The quality is very nice and it's very simple to put on (the easiest of all we have tried) but our baby hates it .
