I love this little gadget. Tucks in anywhere for storage, even has a magnet which keeps it handy on my refrigerator for packages that defy opening. Not sure what else to say? It's a good option for opening packages-- cutting through tape etc. It does the job well but the tip doesn't seem dangerous. I wouldn't push it into your skin, but it does it's job without being a razor blade.

I absolutely can’t live without this handy little tool. I must confess we are a busy family who buys A LOT from Amazon. I was always struggling to find scissors or a knife to help cut open my packages…and then again to break down for recycling. Then I found this…a safer version of a box cutter. Put a little pressure on it and it slices paper and boxes with ease. I’ve even used to cut wrapping paper (be careful on wood floors and keep something in between…rookie mistake) and even to trace a design onto a pumpkin before making real cuts. I’ve bought several times now because they are easy to misplace, but 100% worth it.

I make vinyl projects, stickers and the like. I had seem someone using one of these in a video to slice the backing paper to make peeling easier on stickers. However, before using on actual stickers, I tried it on scrap backing paper. WOW! It cut right trough and would cut into the stick itself. That isnt good. Then I found a failed project, and tested on it. Sure enough, it cut right into the project. It seems that you have to moderate the pressure you apply to get it just right. Not that easy, but it can be done. I am disabled, which makes me really heavy-handed. I was hoping I could just drag it across the back of a sticker, give that relief cut, make happy people. Must weigh my options lol. Works great at opening boxes, envelopes, and other things. Doesnt open you up lol, trying to be funny there. Safe on skin. But I have box cutters for boxes, I didnt buy this for boxes. I will find a way to make it work. Maybe build up with some tape to keep it from cutting so deep for stickers or something.
