I'm not gonna lie, I was slightly disappointed with this book. I've been looking forward to this book for over a year now. I fell in love with the Brooks family in Bender, and in the epilogue when Turner and Annabelle's story was introduced, I couldn't wait. However, by the end of the book, I felt like I barely know the characters like I did in Bender. For example, why did either one go into the medical field? Why was Tuner such an adrenaline junkie? What was Annabelle like as a child? These two honestly only went on about 5 dates and there was little build up to the "I think I'm falling for you." I felt like their relationship was too rushed, or there wasn't enough dialogue between the two. The book, in my opinion, spent too much time in Annabelle's head and about how much she didn't want to "live," yet there was little conflict between the two characters. Annabelle didn't really stand her ground, or fight back like Keegan did with Camden. The passing of baby Noah was heartbreaking, but I felt like it took up too much of the story line. Although the book itself was well written, I think the story could use a lot of work. Still looking forward to Dodger and Macie's story, though!

I'm not exactly sure what happened, where is the Stacy that wrote Bender? I'm very confused. This had so much potential and I'm very disappointed. I wanted to love them but I couldn't. Even Camden and Keegan fell short. This 'Novel' was more of a novella. The story was rushed , I'm pretty sure it didnt even go to an editor. This isnt what I waited a year for, no way. Stacy, please take this off the market and consider re writing it. Give us what we waited for. I've never bashed an author and I would hate to think I'm doing it now but come on, is this really what took you so long???Bender was amazing, what happened? Surprise? No. I doubt I'll read Dodgers book if its anything like this.

I'm not sure what to say or what to think about all the rave reviews. Maybe people have stopped caring about editing or solid content. I don't know. The book is so short. How is this a novel? Maybe I'm just confused. There was so much talking in Annabelle's head. It got so hard to read, so I skimmed. Where's the dialogue? Where's the character development? And they had like 3 or 4 dates and then were madly in love. Where's the buildup? Ugh, I don't know. And it needs editing, badly. This isn't Bender. Not even close. It felt rushed and incomplete at best. Disappointed.

I waited so long for the next Brooks brothers story and what a disappointment. There was no chemistry between Turner and Annabelle. She was very unlikable. The storyline was rushed as was the character development. I get so tired of girls who cave to whatever the friends want her to do, I.e, wear slutty clothes, go to a bar, etc. Annabelle tries to come off tough but she is just a whiner. There was no build up to their passion. I hope Marcie and Dodger's story is better but then again Macie is also unlikable.

I was so excited when Slider was FINALLY released after such a long delay, however the book fell so far short of my expectations it's not funny. Bender was brilliant, I loved that book and characters. In this book I felt that there was no real character development at all. We all begged Stacy to release this book but I feel let down, it appeared rushed and am I the only one who thought it was quite short?? I Hope that Dodger and Maci's story is better than this. I think I will wait for reviews before I buy that book.

The first book was awesome this one was not so much for how long it took to come out. It was short and very much rushed without really telltale Nguyen a story. Oh well they can't all be great.....

I hate books with characters in the medical field that get everything wrong. And I mean everything. Wrong.
That said, the book had nothing to do with the professions of either character. It had nothing to do with the real history of either character. It had no relationship between the characters. The sex scenarios where awkward and unemotional.
Third star was really the sixth one I couldn't give "Bender".
Gigantic letdown.

I honestly think Stacy Borel is a one hit wonder. I loved Bender and had such high hopes for Slider but it just didn't do it for me. There were grammer errors and i did not like the main girl! Just totally disappointed!
