Until this one.
Seriously, Ella, way to go. You nailed it. Everything about this book is perfect.
Just when you think you know what's going to happen, you realize that you don't. Talk about an emotional roller coaster of a book. I read this in 2 days and my poor husband had to deal with me alternating laughing and violently sobbing.
Amazing story. Can't wait to see what Ella writes next.
This story is split into 3 parts, which I am not completely sure I understand the separations but I went with it. Not only does the book switch between POV (which I like that aspect) but there are also jumps between past and present that made things unclear.
I liked how the initially started with the letters, but when the chapters started- I was completely lost. I had a very hard time getting into the story from there and I'm not sure if its because of the content and context but it felt very disconnected. I felt the story was lacking throughout the first two parts and the progression was minimal. There were multiple instances where I felt what I had read was VERY unimportant and was not necessary.
The story really came together in Part 3 for me. I loved the story from there, but I wasn't sure how it all tied into what we had been reading other than Cleo and Kellen together. From here I really was able to feel the ups and downs and the hardcore emotions that the author threw at the reader. It killed me and put me back together.
It was an overall OK read but I felt with alittle rewriting this story could have been great,
This story was unusual and I am pleased that I read all the way to discover what the secrets were. This book is full of angst and yet a bit confusing. All things considered I did enjoy the book and I felt that the last few chapters really saved the book. What I disliked – the letter writing, the format was too compressed and my kindle would not enlarge the letters–so I omitted the letters, which I assume would be a colossal part of the story. I wished the author had kept the letter writing in normal format and used an Italic script to emphasize that they were letters. My next complaint was the over description of each house or place, yes it is great to set the scene but don’t overkill it. The sex was really hot between the characters but after a while it was too much too often, it felt like a page filler. Then the secrets were revealed and all of a sudden the story took a turn, a turn that was really good. Suddenly you connected with the characters; you understood the predicament and the plot made sense. You became emotionally invested. I realize that this was a difficult subject matter to write. On the whole I would say the last quarter of the book, saved this story. My personal opinion was the story was dragged out too much, the pace was slow and I felt like some parts were not resolved. The author does have a good style of writing. Overall I enjoyed some parts of this book and other parts I felt let down by. I would still recommend this book as the story/plot warrants consideration and left me with many thoughts to ponder on.

The have off the charts chemistry. Wowza!!!!
The writing is good and the character development trucks right along at an easy pace.
I just felt that the story was quite repetitive and here's my personal pet peeve in books he's hot and all kinds of sexy but I don't need it to be pointed out every time their together. If the story, as much as I love a long book, was cut back on the those things it would have been an easier read for me.
I adore Ella's stories and can't wait to read more from her.
