Slow travel has long been my favorite way to see the world, though I never knew it had a name or was a "thing". This book would have been handy for me 37 years ago!
Jennifer did a splendid job of explaining what slow travel is, and giving details on how to do it for yourself. In fact, this is a great manual to help you anticipate, plan, and execute your own slow travel adventures. Real examples, discussion of options, and step by step directions are provided to help you make your travels successful.
If you want to travel on your own terms, this is a must-have-book.

Jennifer’s thoughtful and insightful tips on pre-travel preparations and the personal stories she shared had me attentively reading from start to finish in one dreamy afternoon! The pages took me back to my late teens when I too longed to visit distant exotic shores. Jennifer has loaded this book with so many practical suggestions in addition to gracefully addressing the fears that many of us have about travel - especially as women. I’ve never been to Africa or South America - after reading Slow Travel I feel excited to include those destinations in my upcoming travel dreams! Thank-you Jennifer for stretching my vision and bringing a fresh insightful perspective to exploring our beautiful world at a slower and more meaningful pace!
