Designed to offer protection from the elements while acting as a personal blind, the Thermal Cloak provides the all-day warmth, comfort and concealment you'll want during cold, wet, stoic hours in your tree stand or blind. Large, self-sealing magnetic arm ports allow you to silently move into bow or rifle position while a front zipper and hand warmer pocket help regulate temperature. Quiet, weather-ready fabrics are waterproof and seam taped to easily repel wind, rain and snow while 160g of synthetic insulation keeps you warm all day. The bottom of the cloak is open, allowing you to maintain a safe and stable stance. Built-in toggles allow you to cinch up the bottom for greater mobility. The Thermal Cloak is designed with extra room so you can wear insulated outerwear underneath for real cold-weather protection. Intelligent hood styling keeps your peripheral vision and hearing sharp so you can see and hear approaching game. Kryptek's cutting-edge Highlander camo pattern helps you blend into the environment - giving you a serious edge. Compatible with tree stand harness systems.
Top Customer Reviews
I purchased the product with high hopes of it being the perfect outer layer for prolonged treestand sits during November. The cloak was worn one morning with temps in the mid 30's and a 25mph N wind and it worked well at blocking the wind and helping retain heat. The next morning however the temps had dropped into the teens. To my utter disappointment the cloak crunched like a frozen plastic bag!
While I had hoped to wear the cloak I couldn't run the risk of the noisy outer fabric ruining the hunt. I decided to return it.
Other notes on the product:
I'm 6'0" and it hung to mid-shin with a few layers underneath.
The arm slots are in front and this helps pull the garment tight across your chest when drawing a bow.
The Kryptek pattern blends in well in hardwood forest settings.
The cloak does a decent job of blocking the wind and is fairly warm.
All in all the Thermal Cloak is a great idea but limited by the material. With some tweaks to construction I would try it again.
