This convenient sand tray is translucent blue with a clear lid. Handles on the tray lock the lid securely in place for portability. The blue color of the tray can represent water or the sky.

Should have read the reviews and dimensions more closely. Waayy smaller than would think for anything advertised as a sandbox. Even looking at small and travel (which I did not want a huge outdoor sandbox) I did not expect it to be about the size to hold a pack of copy paper. Ultimately I kept it because well my kid has art stuff to put in it and that seemed less hassle than a return, but I could have bought something to serve that purpose for 1/3 the price. I still gave it two stars because it seems well made. We ended up just getting an under the bed type storage box for $9 that works way better for the intended purpose.

I do like the box, but not the company who sells it. This box is made by Really Useful Boxes and sells in Staples / Office Depot THREE times cheaper. Unfortunately, I have discovered it only after buying 5 boxes. Some companies think you can just put a label "Therapy" or "Play therapy" on the box and sell it three times more expensive. I believe it creates no value, it is just a speculation... bad business practice. While it is fine to pick the products which are great to use in the play therapy, it doesn't give right to the company just to remove the information about manufacturer and sell it three time more expensive.

This is not a “ therapy sand tray” I guess more people will buy it if you word it as such.
This box/tray/container does not stay closed. One of the handles fell off on the first use and there is a small crack in the lid. I noticed it after I put sand in it. I’m returning this!
For the price I thought it would be better made, and larger.
Do your measurements before you purchase!!! I would not recommend this for sand! Not much room to play at all. I added 3 lbs of kinetic sand and it left no room for the molds or scuppers. This box would be good for coloring books, crayons and such.

Pay close attention to the dimensions before purchasing. This product was MUCH smaller than I expected for the price and intended purpose. It is about the size of a package of copy paper. I can technically put some sand in it for my son to use his sand toys, but I don’t feel it should be advertised for that purpose. I definitely would not have spent $24 if I had known this is what I was getting. Lesson learned.

This is almost too funny to be true. The box is literally an office depot box container store plastic bin you would use to organize legal papers in. This is not a sandbox unless you are into down right silly DIY efforts. More like a litter box than a playful sand box. What a joke.

Love the idea of this container. I'm a traveling therapist and put all my materials in a tote. However this container does not snap shut tightly, so if carried on it's side in a bag everything inside dumps out. I have to use zip ties to keep it closed. No issues if you just keep it on a shelf.

I got this for one of my classes I was taking for licensure. Even though there is a lid that locks down with the handles, it's not a very tight lock and if it tips over then sand spills out. So if you need to travel with it I'd recommend taking the sand out. Otherwise this is an ok sand tray for sand tray therapy. It is a little small so if you have a rambunctious child in office it won't be big enough. But for my purposes and the few times it'll be used it's ok.

My son loves this he has had it only for a few hours and has been playing with his sand in it ever since ,, I have a small problem with it and that is it has 2 cracks in the tray and I would like to send it for a replacement but my son said he doesn't want to wait for another one so I tape the bottom but bj I told him he can't put water in it bc the cracks will leak so I'm a little disappointed in that ,,but he's happy with it so all is well
