About the author

Gre7g lives in Alabama with his wife, Kyoht, and a small menagerie of pets. He enjoys writing stories about monsters in love, brews beer that he won't drink, programs computers that don't look like computers, and fantasizes about worlds without so many people in them.
Skeleton Crew is Gre7g's third novel. His first two were about werewolves and Minotaurs, respectively. He's written a couple of novellas and a handful of short stories; most of which can be found on his website:

Gre7g loves feedback on his stories. He wants to know what readers enjoyed about the tales along with what they hated. If you have the time, he'd love to hear your opinions about this or any of his other stories. You can reach him at:

I'll admit it, I was a little overwhelmed by Skeleton Crew. It's a vast story, and while Gre7g Luterman does a nice job setting it up, all the twists, plus the huge cast, it all overwhelmed me a bit. This is a continuing series, and you'll need to read the books in order.
In Small World we only have Kanti and his compatriots, the evil commissioner, and the difficulties they face in their new world. Luterman does a fantasic job exploring how the geroo cope with life on this new planet. Beyond the challenges of the food and the atmosphere, the crew has to cope with the societal implications of creating a new community. Very interesting and well done!
I listened to the audio version of Small World, which is beautifully performed by Piers Ryman. Mr. Ryman creates a unique and interesting voice for each of this varied cast of characters. He keeps up the pace, and brings this fascinating world to life.
This is something like that, but not. This story takes the cast out of space, and pits them against each other (and themselves) in an ever evolving social structure in which none of them have any experience dealing with. If you want Sci-Fi, but only care about spaceships a little, this is the perfect book for that. Great new concept, gripping story, and characters that resonate.
Narrator is great, too.
While there are some things I disliked, I'm here to express my opinions, and regardless I want you to know I still value this book.
First off, I want to get my only complaint out of the way heh. I felt like there was a significant time gap between the two books, or at least big enough for us to learn more about the crew, or even the ship. See more struggle see the stress build on kanti see the shock on Chendra and captain.
I feel personally this was an opportunity missed and not necessary the smoothest of transitions as we seem to travel a little on time at first.
After all what I truly loved about this book is the character development. Seeing all the characters build was a very interesting and captivating read!
All in all while this felt a little more boxed in environment, as it literally was, and it was portrayed perfectly. It allowed much to build on for character development and I applaud you for it. You managed not only to keep me intrigued, I certainly didn't realize how fast I finished it :0.
All in all the ending was my favorite, I love how it swiftly transitioned, and led to a new species we get to know. With the drama too~
