It has become part of my go-to shoulder rig.
The tightening screws feel a bit too loose in their loose position. They loosen up too much in my opinion. But they have not fallen off ever and I have; t lost one either. When they tighten onto the 15mm rod, they are quite tight .
Its relatively light weight.
The padding is sufficient for my feel. It has never slipped off.
I would recommend it for hand-held camera work.
The downside is that you need to plan your shoulder rig well, and insert this piece of the puzzle at the right time, in between your other parts of the rig, because it is not a clip-on type holder. It needs to go through the 15mm rods.
Depending on how far under the camera or camera plate you put it, it may or may not get in the way of the tripod quick release plate.
