Top customer reviews
It's only 640x480 resolution, NOT the 5 Mega-Pixel resolution stated in the sales page.
Certainly NOT 50 Mega-Pixel resolution the seller is claiming, even with the best software suggested by the seller.
Videos taken with this camera only show as 8 frames per/second
The seller offered a full refund of purchase price.
I accepted their offer. They also let me keep the camera, not needing to send it back with shipping costs to me.
For this reason, I will do business with this seller again.
They are contacting their own supplier to correct the error.
I've posted a photo of the sample focus issue.
If it wasn't for the lack of re-focus adjustment, I wouldn't have complained, even with the lower resolution of 640x480.
It looks like the camera would have worked well. You can see, from the photo, if the focus was adjustable, the camera could have given a nice image.
Such a shame.
A resolution test image is attached. resolution is more than adequate for imaging 8 mm film
My first order was lost in shipping but the seller offered to send another, which arrived as promised.
Really thin cable, which I think is neat but would suck if you put any strain on it at all. Extends to 66cm (26"). Nice robust little case with a skimpy little clip on the back held together with two + drive screws.
YOU ADJUST THE FOCUS BY TURNING THE BARREL. Not rocket science. I like this because it means I don't have to muck around with goofy drivers to prevent it from auto-ruining my focus settings. But this is how camera lenses have adjusted focus for the last... hundred and twenty years, so if you can't figure it out you might be a fool.
Output is 640x480. If you use a good program (like OBS Studio) you can actually modify the settings like sharpening and contrast. Sorry, whoever thought they were buying a FIFTY MEGAPIXEL camera for $4.20 was a fool.
The output is actually good and I got like 20fps out of it. The person who said 8fps was probably a fool or didn't know how to turn off automatic low-light compensation (which makes it render way slower).
Overall, I really like it -- the reason this review is one star is because the seller is blatantly lying about pretty much everything in the description, which I cannot abide.
